And on Thursday, Billie Eilish appeared to validate the skepticism surrounding the racy snaps by stepping out with her boyfriend, actor Matthew Vorce, as they enjoyed a VIP trip to Disneyland in California.
The 19-year-old has been pictured cozying up to Matthew, 29, for the past few months, with rumors swirling that he was the ‘secret boyfriend’ that she mentioned in her 2021 Apple TV+ documentary Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry.

A TikTok user with the handle Wap.Lover uploaded a message in which she penned: ‘Acting sexual with girls to draw in more audience is gross.’

What is queerbaiting?
Urban Dictionary defines queerbaiting as: ‘A marketing technique used to attract queer viewers that involves creating romantic or sexual tension between two same-sex characters but never making it canon or evolving on it.’
The term is also used regarding the music industry when artists seem to use their sexuality or hint at it to attract fans, without disclosing their sexuality.
Singers who have been accused of queerbaiting previously include Rita Ora, after releasing her song Girls, and Ariana Grande after releasing Monopoly.
Recently, actress Dove Cameron revealed part of the reason she came out as bisexual was because fans thought she was engaging in queerbaiting.
TV shows have also faced accusations of queerbaiting, with viewers of The 100 and Supernatural previously debating characters, reports the BBC.
Urban Dictionary defines queerbaiting as: ‘A marketing technique used to attract queer viewers that involves creating romantic or sexual tension between two same-sex characters but never making it canon or evolving on it.’
Rich Ferraro, chief communications officer at GLAAD, added to the idea saying it can sometimes also be called ‘gaybaiting’.
They told the Yahoo Life: ‘We often see it from brands or talent who are trying to market products or projects to the community and have a goal not to create change, but to profit from LGBTQ dollars.’
Other celebrities have been accused of queerbaiting including Nick Jonas, Rita Ora after the release of song Girls, with her later coming out as bisexual, and Ariana Grande, after the release of her song Monopoly in 2019, reports the BBC.
