Love Island hunk Brad McClelland has revealed he still lives with his nan and says having sex on TV will make a refreshing change from romping next door to the pensioner’s bedroom.
The Northumberland labourer, 26, has met his biological father just once and his mother relocated to Gateshead when he was 11, so he’s been looked after for the majority of his life by his nan.
He’s had two serious relationships and is hoping he’ll find ‘The One’ in the villa, but is prepared to be patient if he doesn’t instantly click with any of the original 2021 series line-up, saying he’ll wait for some ‘bombshells to drop.’

And if he does find that connection, he’s not scared of going the whole way on TV.
Brad said: ‘I will rule absolutely nothing out because until you’re in that situation – I’m not going to rule out sex. I’m not saying I’m going to go in there to have sex.
‘If you’re in there from start to finish and you’re sharing the same bed with that person there’s going to be sexual chemistry and tension there.’
Asked how he feels about the prospect of his beloved nan seeing him romping, he added: ‘It’ll be a lot different than in the room next door.’

Brad has spent the past few weeks educating his nan on how to actually watch Love Island. He revealed she’s only familiar with four TV channels.
He explained: ‘My nana is a channel one, two and three sort of person, occasionally channel four if Hollyoaks is on, it’s like Emmerdale, Coronation Street, EastEnders, I’ve tried explaining a little bit to her what it is but she doesn’t really understand.
‘I’ve told her it’s on channel six because she won’t know where ITV2 is and said it’s on at 9pm every day apart from Saturday.
‘The closer it got to me coming out here she started to ask more questions like ‘”can I watch it on my telly?” Even if she doesn’t like it she’ll keep on watching it because obviously her grandson is on the telly but if she doesn’t like it she can always turn it off.’

Brad says if he manages to win the 2021 series he plans to whisk his nan, and other family members, away on holiday.
He added: ‘My nana used to collect tokens in newspapers and we’d go to Scarborough in a caravan, they were my holidays.
‘I’ve always said if I ever had the money, it doesn’t matter if I won the lottery or just came into some money I’d like to take my brothers and sisters away as a group. They’re in the same boat as me but they have lesser opportunities and they’re younger. ‘
- Love Island starts at 9pm Monday 28th June on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox
