Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B celebrated the one-year anniversary of her hit single WAP (which notoriously stands for ‘Wet A** P***y’) on Saturday.

While reflecting on the massive success of her hit single, featuring Megan Thee Stallion, the 28-year-old star penned a message of gratitude to her fans and haters, who criticized the track’s raunchy, yet empowering lyrics.

‘Thank you to everybody who bought it, streamed it, talked about it on social media, chanted it, CRIED about it. We really appreciate you all,’ she captioned a slideshow full of never-before-from the racy music video.

The sex-positive anthem, which broke the record for the biggest 24-hour debut for an all-female collaboration on YouTube, received both critical acclaim and backlash immediately after its release.

Cardi B’s post included multiple behind-the-scenes photo including one with her 26-year-old collaborator, who rocked a tight yellow bodysuit.

Her other pictures included a snap of Kylie Jenner, who made a memorable cameo in a sexy leopard print bodysuit, and another with singer Rosalía.

In December, Megan Thee Stallion admitted she found the conservative backlash of her collaboration with Cardi B a ‘little weird.’

‘I know the Republicans have been having a bad year and they probably needed to take their frustration out somewhere,’ Megan joked on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

The Good News rapper said she was fine with anyone listening, adding: ‘But I wanna tell them thank you for the streams! Because without you, I don’t know if we would’ve been here!’

Still, she thinks the reaction was a little over-the-top, telling Colbert: ‘But no, them people crazy — why you worried about my WAP?’

Last August, Cardi B addressed the controversy while on the Australian radio show The Kyle And Jackie O Show.

‘The people that the song bothers are usually conservatives or really religious people, but my thing is I grew up listening to this type of music,’ the native New Yorker explained.

In addition to getting flack for the song and video, their raunchy performance of WAP at the Grammys in March, generated more than 1,000 complaints to the Federal Communications Commission

‘Other people might think it’s strange and vulgar, but to me it’s almost like really normal, you know what I’m saying?’

Asked whether or not she’d let three-year-old daughter Kulture listen to WAP, Cardi said the music is obviously for ‘adults.’

‘No, of course I don’t want my child to listen to this song and everything — but it’s for adults,’ she reasoned.
