Carol Vorderman, 62, says her 2006 I’m A Celeb stint ‘changed me a lot’ as she reveals her dream All Stars campmate Myleene Klass, 45, would beat her in the ‘bikini Oscars’
Despite being known for her incredible figure, Carol Vorderman is convinced Myleene Klass would beat her in the ‘bikini Oscars’.
Speaking ahead of her appearance on I’m A Celeb All Stars the 62-year-old described the stunning singer as her ‘dream campmate’ as she reflected on how her first jungle stint ‘changed me a lot.’
When asked who she would like to have joined her on the show Carol said: ‘Myleene Klass but if we had ‘bikini Oscars’ she would win,’.
Before adding: ‘Or Vicky Pattison as she has really turned her life around and I like people who do’.
Myleene famously sent temperatures soaring in a white bikini during her 2006 appearance on the ITV show, before Carol entered the jungle ten tears later.

Reflecting on her first appearance she added: ‘It changed me a lot..’
‘It made me realise that I was missing many things I loved and within a short space of time after leaving the camp, I bought a little house in West Wales.’
‘I love Wales and I love being out at night. I’ve got a converted van and I live a bit of a hippie life! I go paddle boarding all the time now.’
‘You get to a point in life where you think everything is all a bonus. You can’t say ‘I will do that in 20 years’ time’. It made me realise that you need to live in the now.’
Carol also went on to reveal she first visited South Africa – the location for the new series – when she was 19 after falling in love.
Saying: ‘I went to South Africa when I was 19. I met the first love of my life when I was working on an engineering construction site’.
‘My boss was 24 and we fell in love. His next job was in Botswana and I flew over. There were giraffes running around and I swam with Great White Sharks. I’ve not been on a safari for 40 years and I can’t wait now to do the Trials. I will try everything and I will try my absolute best.’
The South African spin-off is set to begin on Monday April 24 and will air weekdays for three weeks, it has been reported.
Carol recently teased fans about her upcoming appearance, and shared an update with her 324,000 Instagram followers.
She wrote: ‘Not long till @imacelebrity SOUTH AFRICA.
‘We filmed late last year. I haven’t told a soul what happened. But I can tell you it was brutal.’
It comes after Carol hinted at a fiery clash on the all-stars spin-off.

Speaking to Lorraine on Thursday morning, the star discussed her fellow campmates and how she got on in the jungle.
Asked about the pre-recorded show, she said swiftly: ‘Janice Dickinson, we’ll not talk about her. She’s bonkers, totally bonkers.’
Carol went on to share her love for fellow campmate Helen, revealing she has a sweet nickname for the ex Coronation Street star referring to her as ‘my little meerkat’.
She told her: ‘So Helen Flanagan I have absolutely and totally fallen in love with. She’s my little meerkat. I love her.’
Carol then moved on to former boxer Amir Khan, 36, branding him as ‘one of the funniest men on earth’.
She continued: ‘Jordan Banjo, he was in Australia with me, I was like his jungle mum and he was my jungle son. Love Jordan.

‘And obviously, Ashley [Banjo] now, we co-present pride of Britain awards, I’m basically part of the Banjo family now.
‘It was funny and tough, and a lot of people I kind of knew before… Paul Burrell, Fatima Whitbread – what a woman what a story.’
As well as the one’s mentioned, Carol will be joined by Happy Mondays star Shaun Ryder, 60 and former English international cricketer Phil Tufnell, 56.
The new series sees the return of some of the most memorable campmates from I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! in the brand new setting of South Africa.
The challenges will be bigger and tougher and the environment harsher and more unforgiving than the usual Australian jungle.
With no public vote, they will be competing against each other in a battle to become the first ever I’m A Celebrity Legend.
Ant said: ‘It’s a question we always get asked…who would you bring back to the jungle?
‘So to get this opportunity to make a brand new show in South Africa and put some of our previous campmates through their paces again was the dream.’

Former soap actress Helen, who appeared on the 12th series in 2012, entertained viewers the first time around.
Helen reportedly annoyed producers and even hosts Ant and Dec by quitting numerous challenges without even giving them a try, causing tension in the camp as the celebrities went without food for nearly 10 days.
She said of her return to the show: ‘I am not saying I am going to go in and be a jungle warrior and be absolutely amazing because I will not.
‘Yes I will be scared but I will have a go and I will be a lot better than last time!’
