Comedy legend Chevy Chase is at home recuperating after a five-week stay at the hospital due to a heart issue.
The 77-year-old Saturday Night Live alum is currently recovering at his home in Westchester, New York following the medical complication.
He told iconic Page Six gossip columnist Cindy Adams on Monday: ‘These are my first few days home. I can only say how happy I am to now be back with my family. I’m feeling good.
‘I was in the hospital five weeks. A heart issue. So, for now, I’m around the house. Not going anywhere.’

Chase has done comedy for over 50 years but has no itch to get back on stage or in front of the camera anytime soon.
He explained: ‘I used to go out and do anything. I’d do slapstick in front of 3,000 people. But at this moment I have no need to go out and meet COVID.’
The star of classic 1983 comedy National Lampoon’s Vacation revealed that he spends his time reading and watching the news but is no fan of what he has been seeing.

Chase told Adams: ‘I read. Turn on TV. Watch the news. All drek. I see actors, comedians, producers, screenwriters working and, God bless them, but I don’t see anything great on television.
‘It all became a generation of s**theads laughing at the world. The humor today’s giving the next generation worse stuff than they already have in their own lives. It drives me nuts.’
