Chris Pratt’s icky TOE sparks concern from doctors after he shared close up on Instagram

A doctor says that a photo actor Chris Pratt posted of his pinky toe on social media shows symptoms of a toe fungus.

The Minnesota native, 43, posted the photo to Instagram on Tuesday, jokingly captioning the image, ‘Met Gala Look,’ after last week’s fashion extravaganza in New York City.

The post from Super Mario Bros. Movie star was reviewed by Dr. Brad Schaeffer of the TLC series My Feet Are Killing Me, who told TMZ that the actor is likely dealing with a fungus, and should get examined by a doctor or podiatrist.

‘Chris Pratt has an interesting case of tinea unguium and I know that sounds crazy but at the end of the day, it’s just straight-up toenail fungus,’ Schaeffer said.

He added that the issue was ‘not too severe,’ ‘not life-threatening,’ and could be ‘taken care of pretty easy and quick.’

Schaeffer added: ‘What he needs to is get it checked out by people like me…. podiatrists.’

The Guardians Of The Galaxy leading man took received a number of varied responses in the comment thread from fans of the Marvel franchise.

‘Spoiler alert – Starlord’s toenail dies in Vol 3.,’ one fan wrote, referencing the actor’s character in the film, while another asked, ‘Is this Groot?’

One fan remarked, ‘You make way too much money to be walking round like this.’

Pratt’s former Parks and Recreation costar Adam Scott, wrote, ‘GORGEOUS’ with emojis of sparkles and starry faces.

The Mayo Clinic says that ‘nail fungus is a common infection of the nail,’ which ‘begins as a white or yellow-brown spot under the tip of your fingernail or toenail.

‘As the fungal infection goes deeper, the nail may discolor, thicken and crumble at the edge.’

The clinic said that it can ‘affect several nails’ and return after treatment.
