Chris Pratt gushes over wife Katherine Schwarzenegger in birthday tribute after THAT awkward post… when fans accused him of insulting ex-wife Anna Faris and their son
Chris Pratt decided to play it safe when wishing his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger a happy birthday on Monday.
The 41-year-old posted a gushing tribute a month after he received a wave of backlash for a previous post, when social media users accused him of insulting his ex-wife Anna Faris and their son who was born premature.
The Guardians of Galaxy star had referred to his child with his new wife as ‘healthy’ which many found distasteful, he was also accused of making sexist remarks including calling Katherine his ‘greatest treasure.’

But for his Monday post for Katherine’s 32nd birthday, Chris kept things conventional, writing: ‘Happy Birthday Honey! You are such a wonderful wife, mother, step-mother, and life partner. I simply can’t imagine how lost I’d be without you.’
His effusive words continued: ‘You’re beautiful, tough as nails, reasonable, deeply thoughtful, extraordinarily smart, you’re a complete boss, eternally driven and you communicate like no other.’
Chris previously revealed how the couple had met in church, and his message included a nod to their religious beliefs. ‘We fit so perfectly into each other’s lives that our Union is a daily reminder that God is looking out for us,’ he wrote.

The Marvel star came under fire last month when he was slammed as ‘sexist,’ ‘gross,’ and a ‘narcissist’ for a different Instagram post in which he gushed over his wife Katherine.
Responding to the backlash shortly afterwards, Chris said: “I went to bed last night really kind of upset and depressed. And I woke up feeling crappy and I didn’t want to work out.’
He added: ‘I knew though that if I put on my Christian music playlist, and I got out of the woods and ran that I’d feel better, but I just didn’t want to.’
Hearts: He gushed over the doting way she’s looking at him in the snap, how she ‘helps him with everything’ and is his ‘greatest treasure’ next to a favorite baseball card
Many also took issue with how Chris praised Katherine for giving him a ‘gorgeous healthy daughter,’ one-year-old Lyla Maria Pratt, which some interpreted as a cruel ableist dig at his nine-year-old son Jack, who was born two months prematurely and suffered health problems.
‘Guys. For real. Look how she’s looking at me! I mean. Find you somebody that looks at you like that!! You know!?’ Chris wrote, referencing Katherine’s adoring gaze in the image.
‘We met in church,’ he went on. ‘She’s given me an amazing life, a gorgeous healthy daughter, she chews so loudly that sometimes I put in my ear buds to drown it out, but that’s love!’

Which if you know, you know is saying a lot,’ he added, referencing the Hall of Fame player who starred for the Seattle Mariners after being drafted number one and the Cincinnati Reds.
‘It’s her birthday in about 6 weeks. So if I don’t get her anything, I’ll tell her to look back on this post. Love you honey,’ Chris concluded along with a pair of red heart emojis.
Thousands of comments promptly poured in, with critics calling him out as sexist, ‘sh***y,’ ‘gross,’ and ‘narcissistic’ for the language he used to talk about his wife — and the unflattering behaviors he seemed to admit to.
‘It’s only cool if you’re looking at her the same man,’ wrote one.
‘I really don’t think this is as great of a post as you think it is,’ commented another with a string of red flag emojis.
‘This appears to be a hostage situation,’ wrote yet another, while one more said: ‘What in the male audacity.’
