The comedian, 34, took to Instagram on Sunday to share a snap of his leg in a black brace walker boot as he revealed that he had broken his ankle.

It couldn’t have come at a worse time for Chris and his family as his wife, 33, is in ‘absolute agony’ after giving birth to their son Rafe via caesarian section last week.

Alongside the picture, she simply wrote: ‘I can’t even look at him.’

The mother-of-two later took to her Instagram stories to explain that Chris has to keep the brace walker on for six weeks, while he is on crutches for three weeks.

She said that the injury was a ‘complete accident’ as he fell over while running around at the park, and somehow managed to drive home on his broken ankle.

Rosie explained: ‘I feel terrible because it’s totally, totally not his fault. It was a complete accident.

‘He was at the park, he was running around and he went over on his ankle. He somehow drove home, somehow. Bless him he’s on painkillers.

Oh dear! It couldn’t have come at a worse time for Chris and his family as his wife, 33, is recovering from giving birth to their son Rafe via caesarian section last week

‘I feel terrible because I’m so annoyed at the situation, but I’m not annoyed at him.’

In a series of clips, she ranted at the ‘horrific timing’ of the injury, as they are also currently homeschooling their eldest son Robin amid the third national lockdown.

But she insisted that she and Chris are trying to ‘laugh’ about the situation despite their ‘total frustration’ at both being out of action while looking after their two sons.

Speaking about her husband’s injury, she explained: ‘I’m having an episode. If I don’t laugh I will cry.

‘Chris has broke his ankle, well he’s broke, I don’t even know, he came in and told us and he had that stupid boot on crutches.

Broken ankle: The mother-of-two later took to her Instagram stories to explain that Chris has to keep the brace walker on for six weeks, while he is on crutches for three weeks

‘I didn’t even really listen to be honest, I was just like “how long have you got that on?”. Six weeks. “How long have you got the crutches?”. Three weeks.

‘But he said something about one of the non-supporting bones is cracked or broke, so yeah.’

She added: ‘Horrific timing, for obvious reasons. You know, national global pandemic, five-year-old not at school, newborn baby – I had a section ten days ago.

‘We’ve had a good laugh about it, cos that’s all we can do.’

But the podcaster said that they have had lots of friends offering to help them, and her mother Sandra will be coming round to their house to help with childcare.

Voicing her frustration, she also admitted that she plans to have a ‘massive glass of wine’ and order a takeaway, as neither her or Chris are able to cook.

Rosie also quipped that she had caused the injury by getting ‘too cocky’ and writing her husband a list of chores, including painting their hallway.

She went on to say that if their marriage ‘survives’ the difficult period ahead, then they will ‘genuinely be together forever’.

Hinting at the difficulties she experienced after giving birth to her first child Robin, she said she is frustrated as it was the ‘happiest’ she’d felt in years.

She continued: ‘I’ve had a few cries, just because it’s total frustration. I cannot believe he’s broken his ankle.

‘I’d felt the happiest I’d felt in years, and now this. I’m just like “throw me a freaking bone here would you!”‘

Earlier this week, Rosie revealed that her newborn son Rafe has ‘saved’ her, despite her concerns about giving birth amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

The podcaster, 33, took to her Instagram stories on Tuesday to share a series of candid videos, giving her followers an update on her post-birth life.

In the clips, she lovingly cradled her baby in her arms as she revealed that she was still in the ‘newborn’ bubble and ‘loving life’.

And Rosie admitted that although she was ‘really worried’ about welcoming Rafe during the third national Covid lockdown, he has taken her mind off all the ‘utter BS’.

Smitten: Earlier this week, Rosie revealed that her newborn son Rafe has ‘saved’ her, despite her concerns about giving birth amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic

The new mother revealed that giving birth to her son has ‘saved her’ during the ongoing pandemic, insisting that it may sound ‘dramatic’ but it is true.

Rosie, who is married to comedian Chris Ramsey, explained: ‘I was really worried about having Rafe during all of this. The pregnancy dragged.

‘But now he’s here, he’s just taken my mind off of all the utter BS that’s going on – sorry – in the world right now. So that’s fine.’

Writing alongside the selfie video, she continued: ‘I was worried about having a baby during all of this, but he’s actually saved me if I’m honest (bit dramatic) but it’s true.’

Rosie also went on to explain the important role that Instagram has played for her following the birth of Rafe, as well as when she welcomed her first child Robin.

‘He saved me!’: Rosie admitted that although she was ‘really worried’ about welcoming Rafe during the third national Covid lockdown, he has taken her mind off all the ‘utter BS’

She admitted that she had initially planned to take a break from social media after giving birth, but quipped that she has actually been on it more than normal.

The mother-of-two said that she first joined Instagram when her first son Robin was a baby, when her husband Chris was on tour and she was by herself ‘all the time’.

She said she only had around 500 followers at the time and began documenting her post-birth life, candidly admitting that she had a ‘public breakdown’ on Instagram.

Rosie also joked that her now 700,000 followers should prepare themselves for ‘breakdown number two’, as she was doing the same thing again after giving birth.

But she was quick at add that, other than the trials of the coronavirus pandemic, she was on ‘cloud nine’ and enjoying her life as a mother to her newborn Rafe.

Social media: The mother-of-two also said she joined Instagram when her first son Robin was a baby, when her husband Chris, 34, was on tour and she was by herself ‘all the time’

She explained: ‘Truth be told, when I first started doing Instagram like four years ago, it was when Robin was a baby and Chris was on tour, and I was just by myself all the time.

‘And this is how I started doing Instagram and Insta stories, I just started documenting just like stuff – I think I might have had a breakdown to be honest, a public breakdown – but I only had like 500 followers so it was fine.

‘And I’m just doing it again, so welcome to the breakdown, breakdown number two. Just there’s a lot more of you now to see it, so that’s great.’

Alongside the light-hearted clip, she quipped: ‘Welcome to breakdown number two!!

Family: Her post-birth update comes after she confessed that she was in ‘absolute agony’ as she recovered from her C-section, but added that she had ‘never felt so happy’

‘Although that’s a lie because I’m currently on cloud number nine (well if you take away the global pandemic that is… Eeh you couldn’t write this s**t could you?!?’

Her post-birth update comes after she confessed that she was in ‘absolute agony’ as she recovered from her C-section, but added that she had ‘never felt so happy’.

She said in an accompanying caption: ‘Truth is, I’m recovering from a section. I’m in absolute agony.

‘I’m very short on sleep as Rafe is a night time guzzler BUT I have honestly never felt so happy in my entire life. My heart could physically explode out of my chest.

‘Thank you to the powers that be for everything that I have. I feel like the luckiest person in the world right now. ❤️’

Happiness: Rosie shared a heartwarming video on Sunday of her comedian husband pushing their newborn son, Rafe, in a pram alongside their first child Robin

Rosie added: ‘*I’m on days three/four post birth, apparently these are your weepy/hormonal days?!?  So I’m a bit of a clip to be honest! That’s what Sandra said anyway!*’ (sic)

The author and her husband tied the knot over seven years ago in 2014.

Rosie announced the pregnancy in July with an Instagram post, writing the caption: ‘4pm wine time BABY’ coming January 2021. . @iamchrisramsey xx’.

A host of the couple’s celebrity pals rushed to the comments section to congratulate them on their happy news shortly after the announcement.

Stacey Solomon, Ruth Langsford and Catherine Tyldesley were among the stars who wanted to sent their well-wishes to Rosie and Chris.

Surprise! The couple tied the knot over seven years ago in 2014, and announced they were expecting a baby by sharing a snap of their unborn baby’s ultrasound

The author then revealed hours later, she had been ‘an emotional wreck’ since learning she was expecting their second child.

Rosie also candidly told fans she was ‘very anxious’ leading up the 12-week scan after suffering a miscarriage in 2018, but added the pregnancy was going well.

She previously said: ‘It’s absolutely killed us this is why I haven’t been on Stories much. One, because I’ve been a hormonal mess.

‘Two, I haven’t been able to drink wine and I got a few questions and I was just like I can’t be dealing with this, and three, I hate lying and it kills us so I haven’t been on Stories much because you know when you have got a secret it’s been weeks.’

Rosie added she first learned she was pregnant when she was just four or five weeks along, but she waited until the 12-week scan to announce the news publicly.
