Christina Aguilera is the epitome of glamour as she delivers a show-stopping performance with Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl
Christina Aguilera fulfilled one of her lifelong dreams by performing at the Hollywood Bowl alongside Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
The 40-year-old songwriter delivered incredible vocals during the first of her two-night residency at the historic venue on Friday.
After taking the stage, Aguilera opened up about the experience, admitting that the magnitude of the opportunity made her extremely emotional.

For her performance, Aguilera donned a form-fitting black sleeved blouse with structured shoulders and a plunging neckline.
She paired the blouse with a matching leggings and a pair of high-heeled leather booties.
The Genie In A Bottle songwriter added a noticeable amount of shine to her ensemble with numerous necklaces, earrings, and other pieces of jewelry of diamond-encrusted jewelry.
Christina also contrasted the dominant color of her outfit with a pair of long white gloves, which she later removed.

Aguilera’s gorgeous platinum blonde hair was tied up in an ornate knot for the duration of the show.
At one point, Aguilera wore a long silver coat with white fur lining that stood out from the rest of her clothing.
Following the end of the concert, the songwriter spoke about her experience via Just Jared, and expressed that she was highly impressed by all of the hard work that went into the show.
‘I’ve never at one time, I don’t think, been around so many amazing, incredible artists, musicians, writers, dancers, movers all in the same night,’ she said.

She also sent a shout-out to the musicians and organizers of the event and noted that her performance would not have been possible without their help.
‘I have a lovely family of amazing incredible people, but tonight I wanted to thank the Hollywood Bowl and the LA Phil for inviting me to perform,’ she stated.
Aguilera also noted that the experience was particularly emotional for her, as she said: ‘I hope I got all the tears out of the way…I’m a crier.’
The What a Girl Wants singer also discussed her early life and how her mom’s interest in older compositions affected her musical sensibility.

‘This is the moment of a lifetime because my mother’s a violinist…so I remember all these images of her playing her violin every night in our living room and just being around classical music my whole life,’ she remarked.
The hitmaker also said that she was happy to be working with classically trained musicians, as she was able to reflect on her past through her performance.
‘I’m so inspired by stories, and composers…there’s elements like that to creative pieces that have influences and inspirations that I’ve grown up loving that I’ve got to include tonight,’ she expressed.

Aguilera then discussed her early inspirations as a performer and noted that a very specific movie and its star had inspired her to perform at the Bowl.
Specifically, she noted that The Sound of Music was ‘the first thing that ever spoke to me musically. I wanted to be Julie Andrews on the hills. Tonight is that moment for me!’
The singer is set to perform with Dudamel and the LA Philharmonic for a second time on Saturday night.

Prior to performing the second show, Aguilera shared a video from the rehearsal sessions to her Instagram account.
The singer kept it much more casual during the event, as she wore a white zip-up hoodie above a black long-sleeve t-shirt and matching sweat pants.
The performer appeared to be getting into her groove as she practiced with various musicians and backup singers before getting ready to head onto the stage.

Putting in work: The hitmaker was seen practicing the new versions of her tracks, as well as having discussions with the shows’ producers
She also was seen discussing the arrangements of her songs with the shows’ producers.
Aguilera later shared a video of herself standing in front of the LA Philharmonic as they practiced a new version of her 2002 track Beautiful.
The hitmaker notably donned a stylish pair of sunglasses while watching the musicians perform.
