This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby said moments before going onstage at an undisclosed event, the colleague made disrespectful comments about her. One of the remarks included them saying they’d be there to “save her” if she messed up.

She spilled: “When they left the room, I cried. I shouted.

“I called that person every name under the sun and I could feel my anger pulsating through my body.”

The host believes the person wouldn’t have treated a male co-star in the same way.

Holly spoke of the moment in an abstract from her book Reflections, obtained by The Sun.

She went on to say she was cautious about what she says on screen after previous comments were twisted on social media.

“I find myself almost regurgitating what other people have said because I don’t know what I want to say any more,” she admitted.

Holly got her big break as Phillip Schofield’s co-star on This Morning back in 2009, replacing Fern Britton.

She has since gone on to become one of the nation’s most loved presenters.

However, it hasn’t always been plain sailing for the star behind-the-scenes.

The mother-of-three recalled a time she was brutally fat-shamed by a modelling agent in her teens.

Aged 17, the presenter chased her dream at becoming a model, but swiftly discovered the harsh reality and decided it wasn’t for her after all.

Echoing a comment an agent said about her, she wrote: “‘We’ll put her weight down to healthy eating while travelling’.

“I just thought, wow. I could look in the mirror and see what I was seventeen and tiny… so to hear a comment like that was a complete and utter shock.”

After realising she didn’t “fit the modelling bill anymore”, Holly turned her back on the modelling world.

She went on to land a job on S Club TV, despite, she claims, being “an utterly rubbish presenter”.

Nowadays, the television star is said to be worth around £10million.

As well as fronting This Morning, she is a brand ambassador for Marks & Spencer and Garnier and also owns Roxy Management.

In her personal life, she has three children; Harry, 12, Belle, ten, and seven-year-old Chester with husband Dan Baldwin, 46.

Reflections by Holly Willoughby is out now, priced £20.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
