David Beckham and his wife Victoria reveal instead of singing in the shower they watch television.

The English footballer, 47, and the fashion designer, 48, have installed a TV screen into their shower in their £31m mansion in West London.

Photographer Darryn Lyons recalled a run-in he had with Victoria, where she admitted her and David were in the shower together watching the news.

He said: ‘I remember Victoria Beckham coming up to me in a very famous hotel in London.

‘She came up to myself and Bryan Morrison, who was the manager for George Michael [at the time], and she said, ‘I was just watching you on Sky News in the shower with David on our new shower TV screen’.’

The Beckhams – who have been married since 1999 and share four children – now split their time between their main family residence, a £31million Holland Park mansion, a £6million Cotswold farmhouse and a Miami apartment worth £19million.

The couple splashed out £8million on renovating their palatial Grade II-listed townhouse, which they bought in September 2013, creating a host of home improvements including six bedrooms, a gym, wine cellar and powder room.

They employed celebrity designer Rose Uniacke to oversee the whole project, which also includes a home cinema, indoor pool and even an air-conditioned garden before making the move in August 2016.

And no expense was spared when it came to decorating and furnishing the West London abode, which features pristine cream couches, high-ceilings and a sleek monochromatic colour scheme.

It comes after a masked burglar broke into the Beckham family home in West London and made off with thousands of pounds’ worth of valuables in March 2022.

The thief forced their way into a spare upstairs bedroom at the mansion in Holland Park and ransacked the place while David, Victoria and 10-year-old daughter Harper relaxed downstairs completely unawares.

The break-in, on February 28, was not discovered until 17-year-old Cruz returned home from a night out and stumbled upon the upturned bedroom and spotted broken glass from a window on the floor.

David reportedly called 999 and set about searching the mansion for the burglar with Cruz, while Harper remained with Victoria, 47, and waited for the police.

The burglar is thought to have been part of a gang which targeted at least two other houses in the area on the same night.

The Beckhams’ Cotswolds mansion has previously been targeted twice in one month by burglars.

The couple were not home when a man was chased off by seven security guards and two attack dogs in November 2018.

The pair were left shaken after the second threat to their countryside retreat in the space of a month, reported The Sun  at the time.

Both crimes are believed to be the work of a gang who appeared to be targeting their £6million luxury home when the couple went away.

A source told the newspaper: ‘Luckily they had laid on extra security after the last incident — including several staff and dogs — who were able to protect the property.

‘Otherwise this could have had a very different outcome. They are re-evaluating their security again and will bring in more if they need to.’
