David Beckham dishes up gammon, coleslaw, beans AND peas for dinner

David Beckham dishes up VERY odd meal combination of gammon, coleslaw, beans AND peas for dinner – so what do you reckon to the choice?

David Beckham dished up an odd dinner on Wednesday night as he showed it off on social media.

The former footballer, 48, plated up a gammon steak with the classic sides of egg, potato wedges and pineapple.

However he then added coleslaw as well as beans and peas to the very full plate as things took a strange turn.

Taking to his Instagram Story he told how the meal was inspired by one of his mother’s dinners.

He penned in the caption: ‘Not as good as yours mum but not bad @sandra_beckham49’.

It’s not the first time he has added coleslaw as an unusual side.

At the start of the coronavirus lockdown David had to swap fancy restaurants for his own culinary skills, showing off one meal on Instagram in April 2020.

The star, who was self isolating with his family at their luxury Cotswolds home at the time, took snaps of his unusual food combo for his millions of followers.

David revealed he was tucking into a heaving plate full of bangers and mash, covered in gravy.

But the foodie decided to add an extra delicacy, heaping some coleslaw on his plate, as he captioned the photo ‘simple pleasures.’

Clearly not full from his huge portion, David also revealed he had cracked open the Viennetta, telling fans he was only allowed the ice cream treat ‘on special occasions when I was a little boy.’

It comes after earlier this week David was enjoying some home comforts during a trip to China.

The Brit superstar is in Macau as part of his brand ambassador role for The Londoner Macau resort.

On Monday he stopped by his pal Gordon Ramsay’s Bar and Grill at the resort – billed as an authentic and convivial British gastropub.

He happily posed with a delicious burger and chips at the restaurant, which retails for £28.

‘So great to be back @the_londoner_macao & popped into @gordonramsaybarandgrill for a burger then saw Big Ben @gordongram,’ the beaming star captioned his snap.

Gordon replied in the comments, writing: ‘Have fun mate glad you enjoyed it.’

David was at The Londoner Macau resort back in May for its grand opening.

The Londoner Macao is a casino resort on the Cotai Strip in Macau that allows guests to ‘experience quintessential British hospitality and luxurious lifestyle’.

In June Ramsay came under fire for putting an £80 burger on the menu at one of his London restaurants.

The Gordon Ramsay Burger restaurant launched in Harrods in Knightsbridge with the menu including an £80 wagyu burger which uses a prime beef patty, seared wagyu sirloin, Pecorino cheese, cep mayonnaise, and black truffle.

One fan slammed the restaurant saying the burger was ‘no better than a Big Mac’ – which costs just £3.69.
