Henry was seen dressed as the superhero as he was seen rolling around on the floor with Liz, who was wearing a Supergirl costume.

Speaking from her cottage in a village near Malmesbury, Wiltshire, Cathy told MailOnline: ‘There’s nothing going on at all, Liz is an old friend. That’s all.

‘And we are still married. I’ve seen the photographs. If you want to know anything more, I suggest you ask him.’

Cathy, who shares three children with Henry, now lives separately from her estranged husband – who recently insisted that he was single.

She resigned two years ago as a director from his company HBA Media Ltd.

Henry also recently insisted that he and Liz were ‘just friends’ and told how they engaged in a wrestle after having ‘too much to drink’.

Henry told The Sun: ‘It was a laugh, OK, it was past midnight. Everyone had had a bit too much to drink and we had a Superman versus Supergirl wrestle and someone took a picture. It was pretty lighthearted.

‘I have been a friend of Liz’s for 30 years. Her best friend is my best friend.

‘I was the best man at his wedding and we are just great, great old friends. And it is nothing more than that. Elizabeth has come horse-racing with me, several times. I am a friend of Shane Warne.’

Henry, who met The Queen alongside Joanna Lumley at Buckingham Palace in 2013, was seen clasping hands with Liz, who wore nude fishnets along with an orthopaedic boot following a foot injury in the image.

The snaps were uploaded on to her Instagram page with the caption ‘Supergirl vs Superman. Happy New Year everyone.’

Henry added: ‘This is nothing. It has all just gone a bit pear-shaped.’

Only days earlier, Elizabeth put on an animated display as she dressed up as a sexy Supergirl for fun-filled New Year’s Eve celebrations.

The model looked like she was having a great end to 2021 in the raucous snaps uploaded to her Instagram where she was joined by a male companion.

Blast from the past: ‘I was the best man at his wedding and we are just great, great old friends. And it is nothing more than that. Elizabeth has come horse-racing with me, several times. I am a friend of Shane Warne’

She looked sensational in the curve-hugging outfit that featured the classic blue corset top with the logo on, gold belt and red skirt.

She posed up a storm with the man before they fell to the floor together and she put her leg over him.

The final photo showed off more of her daring outfit, which included a cape, fishnet tights and some knee-high boots.

Last month, Elizabeth revealed that she sprained her ankle as she enjoyed her last day in the Caribbean, where she had been filming her latest movie Christmas in the Caribbean.

Alongside a stunning snap of her posing in a green kaftan, she wrote: ‘Bye bye glorious Caribbean- it’s been a blast- in spite of the sprained ankle.’

The star was inundated with plenty of supportive messages wishing her a speedy recovery.
