EXC Olivia Attwood's fiancé Bradley Dack insists she is 'fine'

EXCLUSIVE ‘She’ll be gutted’: Olivia Attwood’s fiancé Bradley Dack insists Love Island star is ‘fine’ after quitting I’m A Celeb on ‘medical grounds’ (but even he has no idea why!) – as it’s claimed she will KEEP her £125k appearance fee

  • Love Island star Olivia was forced to leave camp to undergo ‘medical checks’ and is already on her way home
  • Blackburn Rovers footballer Bradley insisted that she will be ‘fine’, but admitted he hadn’t spoken to his fiancé
  • The footballer told MailOnline: ‘I think she’s fine. I just saw it in the news, like anyone else’
  • It’s understood Olivia will still keep her £125,000 fee for appearing due to a clause in her contract
  • Olivia, 31, lasted just 24 hours in the jungle, the same amount of time as 2005 contestant Elaine Jordan

Olivia Attwood was forced to leave the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! jungle earlier today due to medical reasons, and is already headed back to the UK from Australia.

Now her fiancé Bradley Dack has confirmed that the TV personality is ‘fine’, but will be ‘gutted’ with the early departure – after only spending 24 hours in the jungle.

However, admitting that even he doesn’t know why the 31-year-old Love Island star is leaving, the Blackburn Rovers footballer told MailOnline: ‘I just saw it in the news, like anyone else’.

Bradley added: ‘She’ll be gutted. I think she’s fine, but I haven’t spoken to her. I’m really not sure what’s happened. I just saw it in the news, like anyone else. I’m waiting for a call.’

It has been reported that the TV star will still get her £125,000 fee for appearing despite withdrawing from camp just 24 hours after arriving., according to The Mirror.

A TV source revealed that due to a particular clause in her celebrity contract, she will still receive her full fee, which is understood to be approximately £100,000 -£125,000.

After making history as the first Love Island personality to compete on the ITV show, the reality star has now left the camp after being involved in a reported ‘medical drama’.

She is already on her way home to be consoled by midfielder Bradley after trying in vain to beg show bosses to return to the camp.

It’s over: After making history as the first Love Island personality to compete on the ITV show, the 31-year-old reality star has now left the camp after being involved in a reported ‘medical drama’

Clueless: Speaking to MailOnline, Bradley said: ‘She’ll be gutted. I think she’s fine, but I haven’t spoken to her

A show spokesman told MailOnline: ‘As a precautionary measure Olivia needed to leave the jungle to undergo some medical checks.

‘Unfortunately, the medical team has advised it is not safe for Olivia to return to camp as there needs to be further investigation. She has been absolutely brilliant and she’ll be very much missed on the show.’

Olivia’s early exit means she’s tied for the shortest stint in camp after EastEnders actress Elaine Lordan also withdrew after just 24 hours during the 2005 series when she fainted twice in one day.

It’s a shock blow to the ITV series, which returned on Sunday night with two million more viewers than last year, after spending two years being filmed in Wales due to the Covid pandemic.

The dream is over: A show spokesman told MailOnline: ‘As a precautionary measure Olivia needed to leave the jungle to undergo some medical checks

Catching a flight: She is now already on her way home to be consoled by her fiancée Bradley Dack after trying in vain to beg show bosses to return to the camp (pictured at Brisbane Airport at 7pm local time)

And it may not be all bad news for Olivia, after Former I’m A Celeb winner Christopher Biggins today revealed to the Mail’s Jungle Confidential podcast that he made £1 million after winning the show – despite only being paid £50,000 to appear.

He said: ‘If you win it the pluses are huge because you go on to earn a lot of money.’

In the year after winning the show, Biggins said he earned ‘about £1 million’, but added: ‘Forgetting the money, it changes your whole profile’.

He continued: ‘What I think is great about it, and my look on it is, I won it because the public voted for me, now that is quite amazing and that’s so fulfilling to think that the public liked you enough to pay.’

Olivia has not spoken publicly about any health issues. Attwood previously confessed that she is left ‘constantly overwhelmed’ by Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and has taken medication for anxiety and depression.

During the action-packed launch show, Olivia’s jungle experience got off to a pleasant start when she was chosen to be a VIP campmate by the audience and chose fellow campmate Chris Moyles, 48, to be her companion for a lavish meal in a roped-off area.

Reality star Attwood and radio legend Moyles were then given a ‘once in a lifetime opportunity’ as they faced the ultimate skydive entrance.

Chris and Olivia had been enjoying their meal when they received some information, which read: ‘Olivia and Chris, we hope you enjoyed your meal. It’s now time to begin your journey into camp and as VIPs you’re going to get a taste of the high life by jumping out of a chopper at 10,000ft.’

Couple: Olivia announced her engagement to Bradley in October 2019, sharing sweet snaps of the couple on a beach in Dubai after the footballer popped the question. She admitted prior to entering the jungle that sex would be the thing she will miss most in the outback

Chris said to Olivia: ‘You take me for a prawn and then in a helicopter – you’re a s*** date;’ as Olivia laughed: ‘It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. I just need to get back on safe ground in one piece – both boobs, all the veneers, everything.’

After completing the jump first, an emotional Olivia said: ‘Oh my god I’m crying, that’s the most amazing thing I’ve ever done, ever. That is incredible. Top 10 experience of my life. Just amazing.’

Taking in her surroundings she added: ‘I didn’t expect to be landing on a beach – where the hell are we?’

Olivia rose to fame on Love Island in 2017, where she coupled up with Chris Hughes, and has since fronted her own reality series, Olivia Meets Her Match starring her footballer fiancée, Bradley, as well as an ITV2 docu-series on the sex industry.

Taking the plunge: The reality star and the radio legend were then given a ‘once in a lifetime opportunity’ as they faced the ultimate skydive entrance

Taking to Twitter as the news broke, former Queen Of The Jungle Georgia Toffolo tweeted: ‘Nooooooooooo @oliviajade_att having to leave the jungle on medical grounds?! I’m so upset’.

Other fans penned: ‘devastated fans penned: ‘the way we’ve been robbed of Olivia Attwood annihilating Matt Hancock in less than a day #ImACeleb’ ; Olivia attwood gone after a day?? Fs wanted her to pop off at Matt Hancock #ImACeleb #ImACelebrity

Unwell: Olivia’s early exit means she’s tied for the shortest stint in camp after EastEnders actress Elaine Lordan also withdrew after just 24 hours during the 2005 series

‘Olivia Attwood has left the jungle to “undergo some medical checks” and won’t be returning to camp. Gutted – I honestly thought she was finalist material #ImACeleb’ ‘Olivia Attwood is my spirit animal, gutteddd she’s left the jungle.’

Olivia’s final scenes will air on Monday night’s show when she takes on a gruesome challenge.

Elsewhere on Sunday’s launch show, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly confirmed there will be two extra arrivals to the camp and poked fun at Tory MP Matt Hancock.

After the former Health Secretary’s appearance on the show was widely publicised, Dec quipped: ‘You are going to be surprised, guys. We are going to be rolling out the welcome mat for them soon.’

Matt, 44, was seen arriving in Australia earlier this week after it emerged he was going to make a controversial appearance on the show. He will also be joined later in the series by comedian Seann Walsh.

Funnyman Seann was caught kissing his Strictly Come Dancing professional partner Katya Jones in 2018 when he appeared on the show while he was dating actress Rebecca Humphries.

This year’s series has returned to the jungle for the first time in three years after the coronavirus pandemic meant recent series have been filmed in Gwrych Castle in Wales as travel restrictions prevented journeying Down Under.

Viewers at home were delighted by the comeback of the hit show, admitting that it felt like ‘normal service had resumed’ after filming returned to Australia following two years in north Wales.

Upset: Taking to Twitter as the news broke, former Queen Of The Jungle Georgia Toffolo led the frustrated fans

On Sunday, Chris Moyles was the first celebrity to arrive in a luxurious black Rolls Royce. The star admitted he was hoping to endear himself to the public, saying: ‘People are going to be so pleased to see Chris Moyles.

‘They’re going to say, “Wow, he’s so much nicer than I thought he was going to be. He’s not an a**ehole.”‘

Following on from Chris was former Love Island star Olivia. She said: ‘I do think that with reality TV people in general there is an idea that we’re lacking in the brains department and I’m going to confirm that.’

Of the show’s tough trials, she said: ‘My nerves are not actually trial-based. They’re more actually living with other people but I got used to that on Love Island… I think the shower and toilet stuff doesn’t actually phase me! I pee in the garden every time I go out.’

Jokers: Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly confirmed there will be two extra arrivals to the I’m A Celebrity camp and poked fun at Tory MP Matt Hancock, expected to be one of them, as the show launched on Sunday night

Charlene White was the third star to make appearance on the show. The ITV newsreader and Loose Women anchor said: ‘Of all the shows I said I was never going to do, I’m A Celeb was definitely one of those… How do I think I’m going to cope? I’m not an outdoorsy person.’

Charlene has previously said she would not be able to resist crying on the show as she struggles to cope with the tough jungle living conditions.

The fourth celebrity to appear on screens was former England footballer Jill Scott. The Lionesses star said on entry: ‘My biggest achievement was winning the Euros against Germany. 90,000 people at Wembley. The best day of my life. My next step is entering the jungle which I’m very excited about.

Comedian and actor Babatunde Aleshe was the fifth star to enter, meeting the rest of the celebrities at a lavish villa: ‘I definitely don’t like rats. I had a hamster once and I was really scared of it.’

All stars: (L-R) Radio host Chris Moyles, ITV newsreader and Loose Women anchor Charlene White, former footballer Jill Scott, former Love Island star Olivia Attwood and comedian Babatunde Aleshe were the first five stars to appear

‘Can I camp? No! I’m not that crazy. Do I have survival skills? Yes! I’m from Tottenham. We run.

‘I’m scared of everything. Rats, spiders, snakes and at the top of that is frogs… Have you ever seen a toad?! Toads are huge! This is Australia, man. They’ve got animals that they ain’t even discovered yet.’

The group was greeted by hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly who expressed their excitement at being back in Australia after two years, after the show was held in Wales due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The duo explained the stars would not be heading into the jungle together, with one of the stars being named a Jungle VIP – Olivia was voted for the role by the public.

She was able to choose one of her fellow contestants to join her for a VIP meal at the villa, with Olivia choosing radio DJ Chris.

New friend: After being named a jungle VIP, Olivia was able to choose one of her fellow contestants to join her for a meal at the villa, with Olivia choosing radio DJ Chris

The rest of the group were told they would be leaving the villa and that they would have to earn their food on their way to their camp.

Chris said: ‘I think VIP realistically means we get to have a plate of fruit and then we get to do something that scares the living s**t out of me.’

Ant and Dec explained that VIP actually means Very Isolated Person.

Olivia told Chris on why she chose him as her VIP: ‘I know you’ve got a good sense of humour and we’re obviously going to spend some time together so we can have a laugh.’

Jill, Babtunde and Charlene were then seen lifting off in a helicopter and flying over the Pacific Ocean towards a 32-storey tall tower block to take part in the infamous ‘Walk The Plank’ challenge.

Gripping: They were told there were three stars for collection which they could exchange for meals and they needed to walk to the end of the plank, let go of the rope securing them and they would win their meals for camp

They were told there were three stars for collection which they could exchange for meals and they needed to walk to the end of the plank, let go of the rope securing them and they would win their meals for camp.

While Charlene quickly made her way out to the end of the plank, which was swiftly removed so she could not turn back, Babatunde had to fight his instincts to convince himself to take tiny steps forward.

The comedian was unable to walk to the end and called ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ and walked backwards to the roof of the building to return to safety.

Jill was able to quickly complete the task, marching towards the end of the plank without a second guess.

Both Charlene and Jill were then tasked with standing on a slant at the end of the plank and leaning forward to look over the edge while holding on to a wire behind them.

To complete the task both Jill and Charlene had to let go of the rope and launch themselves off the end of the plank where they were left suspended in mid air on a wire.

Brave: While Charlene quickly made her way out to the end of the plank, which was swiftly removed so she could not turn back, Babatunde had to fight his instincts to convince himself to take tiny steps forward

After enjoying their lavish meal together at the villa, Olivia and Chris were seen making their way to the helicopter to complete a skydive over the water off the coast of the city of Surfers Paradise, Queensland and onto a sandy beach.

After jumping out of the aircraft from 10,000 feet, and screaming all the way down, Olivia excitedly declared: ‘That was the most incredible experience of my life! I’m crying!’

With Olivia’s VIP pal Chris having landed safely on the beach, only for the pair to have no clue where they were, the next five celebrities were welcomed onto the show.

Singer Boy George was heard saying he’s perfect for the show because he’s a ‘natural born show off’ before he was joined by Coronation Street actress Sue Cleaver.

High octane: After enjoying their lavish meal together at the villa, Olivia and Chris were seen making their way to the helicopter to complete a skydive

Hollyoaks star Owen Warner was then seen arriving by boat after saying his worst jungle nightmare would be encountering snakes.

A Place In The Sun presenter Scarlette Douglas then made an entrance, saying she will bring her excellent cooking skills to the jungle camp to contribute.

The final of the second lot of five celebrities to arrive was former rugby player Mike Tindall, who advised his fellow contenders ‘not to choose fear’ when taking part in the gruelling jungle tasks.

Once in a lifetime? Olivia was seen plummeting over the water off the coast of the city of Surfers Paradise, Queensland and onto a sandy beach

Back together: Chris and Olivia were pleased to meet each other on the ground again, hugging one another on the beach

George was chosen as the VIP for this group, with the performer opting for Scarlette to join him for a meal on a luxury yacht.

Sue, Owen and Mike were seen jetting off in the helicopter before landing in the jungle where they were tasked with completing a number of puzzles.

They were seen rowing across a lake to different games in a bid to collect a number of stars to exchange for meals in camp.

Each member of the group was seen climbing into tanks where they were confronted with a variety of creepy crawlies, including spiders and maggots.

Grand entrance: Boy George was the first of the second lot of five stars to arrive on the show, making an appearance on one of his typically flamboyant outfits

Puzzling things out: Sue was seen steering a boat across a lake where she, Owen and Mike travelled to different puzzles that they had to complete to gain stars to exchange for meals

Meanwhile, Boy George and Scarlette finished their meal and they were then tasked with rowing to meet Chris and Olivia on their remote desert island.

The other eight contestants were then seen making their way into camp where Babatunde amused himself as he was unable to start the campfire.

He laughed in the Beach Hut as he was joined by sportsman Mike who instantly sparked up the flames to keep the group warm.
