He captioned the image: ‘Finally able to travel to Boston to visit my wonderful step daughter Ella, who’s at BU.’

In the past, Gary had spoken about his blended family with Danielle and raising Ella, who het met when she was just five-years-old.

He told Daily Mail: ‘You make mistakes along the way. I think the key is to defer to the real parent, but it’s hard… I’ve a feeling that the teenage years will be interesting. But it’s wonderful to be given a daughter.

‘She has a father, who’s a great guy, and I’m careful to respect that relationship. I think we’re doing OK.’

Gary married Ella’s mum Danielle in 2009, but they divorced in 2016.

She went on to marry partner Nate Greenwood, with whom she shares four-year-old daughter Romy.

It comes after Gary revealed earlier this month that he doesn’t think he’ll get married again and feels done with the concept of matrimony after tying the knot twice already.

The ex-England footballer admitted he isn’t interested in romance and hadn’t been on a date for months as he felt his ‘testosterone levels drop’.

He told The Sun: ‘I’m not sure I’m asexual as such — no matter how old you are, a beautiful woman is a beautiful woman — but I just genuinely can’t be ar**d now.’

Gary continued: ‘I just don’t want any more sleeping with someone again…When you get a bit older, that urge fades, your testosterone levels drop. It’s just not that important.

‘I like the fun of flirting, going on dates, kissing and cooking for someone, but that’s about as far as I want to take it.’

The sports presenter confessed that he hasn’t been interested in any of the women he has been on dates with and is really happy on his own.
