Gemma Atkinson, 36, was joined by her fiancé Gorka Marquez, her former Striclty Come Dancing dance partner Aljaž Škorjanec, his wife Janette Manrara, dancer Johannes Radebe and presenter Clara Amfo during a day out yesterday. The mother-of-one shared a snap of the group’s reunion on her Instagram page.

In view of her 1.6 million followers, the group were seen beaming for the camera, seemingly proud to be back together.

Gemma captioned the picture: “Reunited!”

Fans of the star flocked to her post to comment, with many pointing out that each member of the group had their phones out.

“All the phones,” one commented.

A second added: “Omg look at that picture. A sign of the times with all those phones on the table.”

“Reunited yet you all have your mobiles on the table? Wow, some reunion that must have been. Put them away,” a third added.

Many fans rushed to defend Gemma and noted that most bars and restaurants were currently taking orders digitally, due to the pandemic.

As well as this, guests are advised to use the NHS Test and Trace app to help combat the spread of coronavirus.

Hitting back, the mother-of-one said she and Gorka were away from their daughter for the night, adding: “My phone was very much out,” followed by a thumbs up emoji.

Taking to her Instagram story, she went on to detail their night out further.

Gemma explained that there was no table service and said it was “weird” that they had to scan an app to order.

“No menus, just phone orders to your table,” she captioned the video.

“I like it because it’s less paper and plastic,” Gorka chimed in.

Gemma added: “It was good, everyone seemed safe and everyone was doing what they’re supposed to do.”

The radio presenter admitted she felt apprehensive about her going out, but said, “it all went well”.

It’s since been revealed that the group reunited to film a celebrity special episode of Rochelle and Marvin Humes’ show The Hit List.

Gemma gave fans an insight into filming today sharing backstage videos.

The former Strictly star showcased her make-up and hair and admitted to fans she was “nervous” about the show.

She added: “Gorka thinks I’ll do good because I work in radio, but there’s music from the 70s and 80s, I don’t know that stuff.

“It’s for charity though, it’ll be fine.”
