Gogglebox fans have been left in stitches after Jenny Newby had a fake tan fiasco on Friday night’s episode.
The 65-year-old was looking to achieve a natural glow on set of the Channel 4 show, but ended up looking more ‘like the Tango man’, according to her viewers.
Twitter users stormed to the platform to share their laughter, writing: ‘Oh my god, Jenny looks like the Tango man.’

Disaster: Lee then discovered her fake tan was permanent after reading the back of the bottle
Soon, the memes on the social media platform ensued – with one fan tweeting: ‘Oooooh Jenny is looking very nice & orange loool’ alongside an image of her smearing the product onto her arms.
Another posted a Gif of the ‘tanning mom’ Patricia Krentcil alongside the tweet: ‘Jenny realising it’s permanent fake tan’.
Her on-screen co-star Lee Riley was horrified by her new complexion, squealing: ‘I’m going to p*** myself!’

Jenny, who then smeared the bold colour over her arms, asked him: ‘What’s wrong with it?
‘Do I look healthy?’
If that wasn’t comical enough, Lee then discovered her fake tan was permanent after reading the back of the bottle.
‘Oh my God. How am I going to get it off?’, Jenny shouted.

Her tanning disaster comes as a new series of Gogglebox began last week.
However, five stars have left the show after their family members sadly died.
Three of the show’s contenders, and their family members will not be returning to the series.
Executive producer Victoria Ray said to the Daily Star: ‘We have had people from the show pass away recently.
‘We lost Mary and Andy, and a little while ago we lost Pete. Their loved ones won’t be taking part in the show for the moment. Understandably, they want their privacy.’
She also said that all of the stars have the option to return to Gogglebox in the future, should they wish.
