Gregg Wallace, 57, admits he asked wife Anne-Marie, 35, to buy him tight T-shirts after his 4.5 stone weight loss as he details gruelling fitness regime

Gregg Wallace has revealed he asked wife Anne-Marie, 35, to buy him tight T-shirts in order to show off his 4.5 stone weight loss. 

The MasterChef judge, 57, made the confession while speaking to Men’s Health about how he packed on the muscle and lost the weight in their How I Build My Body video series on YouTube.   

He explained his workout routine alongside his trainer Danny Rai, starting with chin-ups to work his core and moving through chest press, tricep press-ups and bicep curls.

Gregg admitted: ‘I’ve got to be honest I don’t love it that much. It’s hard work,’ but revealed he enjoyed the pay off of being able to display his new ripped physique.  

He explained: ‘When I was bigger I used to wear loose shirts and Danny said “You should wear tight T-shirts now.” 

‘So I said to my wife “Could you just go online and buy me some tight T-shirts?” because I don’t know how online works because she’s younger than me. 

‘And she went “Why is that?” and I said “Oh Danny likes me wearing tight T-shirts” and she went “Really? What else does Danny like you wearing, Gregg?”‘

Gregg admitted: ‘So I said to my wife “Could you just go online and buy me some tight T-shirts?” because I don’t know how online works because she’s younger than me’ 

Gregg often shares pictures of his toned physique after revealing that he had to change his lifestyle as he drinking alcohol daily and often ordering takeaways. 

Speaking to Hello, the star admitted: ‘The four-stone journey from A to B was not a straight line. 

‘It went around a couple of McDonald’s drive-ins, it stopped at a few kebab shops and it hit more pubs than it was supposed to have done, but it got there.’ 

Following his dramatic weight loss, the star decided to use his own experience to help others and has started a website called ShowMeFit.

It comes after Gregg admitted he starts boozing at just 6.30am on Christmas Day while his obliging wife cooks dinner for the whole family.    

He boasted that he does absolutely nothing to help out while a rather tolerant Anne-Marie- better known as Anna – prepares seven joints of meat and five puddings with her mother. 

He told the Radio Times: ‘I don’t even suggest helping out. My wife chooses not to work and says, “If it’s inside the front door, darling, it’s my responsibility.” 

Gregg admitted: ‘I’ve got to be honest I don’t love it that much. It’s hard work,’ but revealed he enjoyed the pay off of being able to display his new ripped physique’

Gregg also claimed he only buys her one present each year, while she has her hands full buying the others.

He continued: ‘It’s a matriarchal household and every year I buy one present for my wife and she buys all the others. She takes charge of everything.’ 

‘Christmas in my house is huge. Anna is Christmas-crazy. We had seven trees last year.’
