Grimes reveals her son X Æ A-12 calls her by her birth name Claire and not ‘mom’ or ‘mother’

The 33-year-old singer (real name Claire Elise Boucher) was featured in a new video from Vogue where she was getting ready for the annual bash.
She was talking about her experiences being a mother to her son (name pronounced Ex Ash A Twelve), revealing that her child never calls her ‘mom.’

Experience: She was talking about her experiences being a mother to her son (name pronounced Ex Ash A Twelve), revealing that her child never calls her ‘mom’
‘I think having a baby was a big rebirth for me artistically. Being a mother feels weird for me to say,’ Grimes began.
‘X says Claire, but he doesn’t say “mama”…like, maybe he can sense my taste for the word “mother,”‘ she added.
She added, ‘I don’t even know why I have a distaste for it, I respect it…I [just] can’t identify with it, weirdly.’

The singer also said that she, ‘just finished an album,’ adding she thinks, ‘it’s my greatest work that I’ve ever done.’
She added she just made, ‘the last song for it like two nights ago,’ adding she went into her musical career thinking she would ‘sign to a major label and be a really big artist,’ but her expectations are much different now.
‘No, I literally don’t care if anyone listens to this s**t, I just want it to be like great. Like unequivocally great art,’ Grimes added.
New album: The singer also said that she, ‘just finished an album,’ adding she thinks, ‘it’s my greatest work that I’ve ever done’
When Grimes first gave birth to his baby in May 2020 it was initially announced that they had named their child X Æ A-12.
However they then discovered that the California constitution only allows legal names to contain characters from the English alphabet.
As a result they eventually changed the name to X Æ A-XII, replacing the Hindu-Arabic numerals ’12’ with Roman numerals signifying the same number.
