Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton pack on PDA in private box during first-ever NASCAR race at LA Coliseum… with her sons also in attendance

There was plenty of high-octane drama at the NASCAR Cup Series Busch Light Clash, which served as the first-ever NASCAR race at the L.A. Coliseum in Los Angeles. 

The preseason exhibition event has served as a prelude to the new NASCAR season that kicks off with the Daytona 500. The event had been held each year at the Daytona International Speedway since the race’s inception in 1979 until this year. 

Racing enthusiast Blake Shelton, wife Gwen Stefani, and her children were among the thousands of fans on hand to take in the historic race on the quarter-mile oval purpose-built within the L.A. Coliseum.

The high-profile, celebrity power couple packed on the PDA while watching from a private outdoor box.

The Sweet Escape singer, 52, showed off her unique sense of style in blue and white checkered pants, complete with a number of zippers, that was paired with a fitted black top. 

She also donned a pair of white boots, and had her trademark bold red lips, and platinum blonde tresses styled long, straight and sleek, with a part near the middle. 

Handsy: The country crooner stood behind his wife of six months and showered her with kisses

Passionate: The long-time No Doubt singer was all smiles as her husband periodically kissed her during the race

Representing: Shelton donned a camouflage cap with the race’s logo on it

Family affair: All three of Stefani’s kids were in attendance, which included sons Kingston, 15,  Zuma, 13, and Apollo, seven, whom she co-parents with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale

Rockin’: The singer-songwriter showed off her unique fashion sense in a fitted black top with blue and white checkered pants with white boots

step-dad role: Shelton reportedly has a solid relationship with Stefani’s boys; Kingston and Zuma are pictured getting a lesson in NASCAR from the country superstar

Snacking: Apollo got some extra special attention from his mother as he snaked on cookies

Beaming: Apollo seemed to be enthralled by all the action on the race track

Shelton, 45, was all smiles as he wrapped his arms around his ladylove looking NASCAR ready in blue jeans with a black button-down shirt and a camouflage baseball cap with the logo of the race on the front. 

During certain points of the day, Stefani shot video of all the festivities and posted on her Instagram page, which included images of her boy Apollo, seven taking in the race as he enjoyed some sweet treats.

Her sons Zuma, 13, and Kingston, 15, could also be seen enjoying the spoils of their VIP mom and step-father.

Stefani co-parents her sons with ex-husband, and Bush frontman, Gavin Rossdale.

Rapper Pitbull, complete with backup dancers decked out in a checkered-flag theme, performed a pre-concert on a stage set up at the Peristyle.

And then, during a break in the all the action, N.W.A. legend Ice Cube followed with a six-minute set on the same stage.    

In the first-ever NASCAR race at the L.A. Coliseum, Joey Logano was able to take the lead from Kyle Busch at lap 116 and pull away to win the Busch Light Clash to open the 2022 season. 

Logano’s victory was the second of his career in the Clash.  

The event was NASCAR’s first race inside a sports stadium since one was held at Soldier Field in Chicago way back in 1956.
