Gwyneth Paltrow gave some pretty wild anecdotes about doing drugs and taking random men home during an episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden.

The 50-year-old spoke about how fun it was to be famous and naughty AND get away with it before the social media age on Monday’s episode.

She laughed: ‘It was great, talk about doing cocaine and not getting caught. You could just be at a bar having fun, dance on the table.’

‘There were no camera phones, especially in New York, there were no paparazzi. You could stumble out of a bar and go home with some rando and no one would know.’

The interview comes after Gwyneth’s 2015 admission that the hardest drug she has ever taken is ‘ecstasy’ which she said on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live!

The Goop founder, who used to famously adopt a strict macrobiotic diet, wore a black cropped top and skirt with a chunky gold link necklace, for her appearance.

During the show, she also gave an insight into her pregnancy cravings when she was pregnant with her daughter Apple, who is now aged 18. 

She said: ‘I wanted apples, yogurt, Swiss cheese and Baskin-Robbins Jamoca Almond Fudge ice cream. That’s all I wanted.’

‘Apple is now 18 and I have a junior in high school,’ Gwyneth said. ‘Moses is 16.’

‘I have to say I loved every single stage [of motherhood] and every stage I felt like ‘”oh I wish I could freeze time like I’m never going to love them more than this”. And then you just love them more.’

Gwyneth also thanked James for once giving her son Moses a ride home.

‘We talked only about music,’ James said. 

‘He got out of the car and me and Jules [James’ wife]  were like ”well he’s the coolest person I think we have ever met”.’

Gwyneth thanked James for once giving Moses a ride home. James said: ‘He got out of the car and me and my wife were like ”well he’s the coolest person I think we have ever met”

‘Well, he thought you were the coolest Uber driver he has ever had,’ Gwyneth replied, smiling. 

Gwyneth admitted that she had been struggling to adjust to her new empty home now that Apple is a college freshman and said that things were much quieter now. 

She said: ‘I’m not handling it very well. It’s a huge change because Apple’s really hilarious and she’s got a big presence,’

‘So when we are around the dinner table and somebody says to Moses ‘what is it like with your sister not home?’ And he’s like “quiet”.’

James had Gwyneth to talk about her new Audible series Goop Pursuits and about what inspired her to do this series.

She said: ‘At Goop, we are always trying to find interesting ways with content to reach new audiences and to kind of move culture forward and precipitate interesting conversations. This is an audio series. It’s four parts. It’s on Audible.’

Gwyneth said that Audible has been great and that she was a big podcast listener too. Gwyneth said she still reads books but also really likes listening. She said the Goop series are 90 minute deep dives on subjects.

‘The first one is about pleasure because I think we have an interesting weird relationship with pleasure in our culture,’ Gwyneth said. 

‘Especially women, we are so freaked out to have pleasure not only sexual pleasure…’
