Ha! GMB weather presenter Alex Beresford, 40, gave a nod to rumours about his prospective appearance on Strictly Come Dancing on Monday
Alex’s fans penned underneath the post: ‘You would be a great Strictly contest… Are you going to be on Strictly??’
It’s been claimed that BBC producers would love to get Alex and Laura, 39, on the 2021 show to help with audience figures, according to The Sun.
Alex has been in the spotlight more than ever over the last month after his on air spat with ex-GMB host Piers Morgan when they disagreed over Meghan and Harry’s bombshell Oprah interview.
Meanwhile mother-of-one Laura – who has worked on the ITV show since 2014 – has never appeared on any reality or TV competition shows before.

A BBC source told the publication: ‘Strictly bosses like having an ITV daytime star as they help with audience figures, being really well-known. Viewers wake up to them every day.
‘Laura and Alex are well liked and would make good signings. It is still early in the process but both their names are in the mix.’
Laura, Alex and Strictly have been contacted by MailOnline for a comment.
On Saturday it was revealed that the BBC is reportedly planning for the 2021 series to resume its full 13-show run this autumn after the 2020 show was reduced to just nine weeks due to Covid restrictions.

Potential line up: It’s been claimed that BBC producers would love to get TV stars Alex, 40, and Laura, 39, (pictured) on the 2021 show to help with audience figures, reports The Sun
It was also reported that the much-anticipated Blackpool special will be back this year, after travel restrictions meant a trip to the seaside town last year was impossible.
A source confirmed to The Sun: ‘They’re going to put on a full series this year. That means 13 episodes will and all of the themed weeks. The pinnacle will be the trip to Blackpool and that’s always been the way on Strictly.
‘As things stand, the whole show will head to the North West in November. Everyone is really excited.’
Awkward: Alex has been in the spotlight more than ever over the last month after his on air spat with ex-GMB host Piers Morgan when they disagreed over Meghan and Harry’s bombshell Oprah interview
Difficult day: Piers walked off set after a fierce debate with Alex, in which the weather presenter accused Piers of unfairly ‘trashing’ Meghan, and branded him ‘diabolical’
Strictly’s eighteenth series faced major setbacks and was forced to go ahead with strict social distancing protocols in place.
Last month BBC confirmed the 16 dancers who will hit the dance floor this autumn, with fan favourites such as Anton Du Beke, Johannes Radebe and Dianne Buswell all back.
Anton, 54, is to continue his reign as Strictly Come Dancing’s longest-serving professional dancer by marking his 19th season on the show.
Exciting: Meanwhile mother-of-one Laura – who has worked on the ITV show since 2014 – has never appeared on any reality or TV competition shows before

Making up the female pros are Oti, Janette Manrara, Amy Dowden, Dianne Buswell, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Luba Mushtuk, Nadiya Bychkova and Nancy Xu.
While Aljaž Škorjanec, Anton Du Beke, Giovanni Pernice, Gorka Marquez, Graziano Di Prima, Johannes Radebe and Neil Jones make up the male pros.
Last month, Piers announced he had quit GMB after Alex challenged his comments about the Duchess of Sussex, 37, and her interview with Oprah, 67.
The outspoken GMB host left the daytime series after he insisted he ‘didn’t believe a word’ of Meghan’s account of suffering suicidal thoughts and experiencing racism at the hands of the royal family.

Piers then walked off set after a fierce debate with Alex, in which the weather presenter accused Piers of unfairly ‘trashing’ Meghan, and branded him ‘diabolical’.
When Piers walked off screen, Alex continued: ‘I’m sorry but Piers just spouts off on a regular basis and we have to sit there and listen.’
Piers, who refused to apologise, later announced his resignation and tweeted his thanks to the GMB team, praising them for their ‘hard work and dedication’ that led to them beating their main breakfast TV rival.

And Piers shared his own reflections on the events of that fateful week in a piece for the Mail On Sunday last weekend.
Piers called Alex ‘GMB’s occasional stand-in weatherman’ and ‘uptight’ in the telling account, adding that the presenter hasn’t messaged him since his exit unlike others on the show.
Reflecting on their now infamous encounter on GMB, which ended in Piers leaving the studio, Piers said he wasn’t going to sit there and be ‘whacked’ by one of his own team.
