He played school bully Peter Rivers in the ’90s teen drama Heartbreak High.

And more than two decades later, actor Scott Major looks unrecognisable compared to his days as Hartley High’s long-haired bad boy.

He had wavy hair and a greying, scraggly beard, and wore a baseball cap and knitted jumper.

‘I would like to be part of the reboot,’ he said in the video.

‘In fact, I’ve contacted the producers. I’ve contacted the production company, I’ve contacted the CEO. I’ve basically said I will do anything.’

Back in the day: Scott (pictured with co-stars Salvatore Coco and Tai Nguyen) resurfaced this week in a Cameo video in which he discussed the upcoming reboot of Heartbreak High

Scott then joked: ‘But maybe they don’t want me? Maybe I’m not talented enough? Maybe my time at Heartbreak High is finished.

‘I hope not because I’d really like to be part of it. I’d really love to be Rivers again or just in front of a camera or something, I don’t know.’

He continued: ‘I’m so happy they’re making it again and I hope that it captures the essence the original one captured.’

Teen drama: Heartbreak High ran for seven seasons on Channel 10 and ABC from 1994 to 1999, and followed the lives of a group of students at a fictional high school in Sydney

Scott also reflected on his memorable role, saying: ‘As Rivers I was cool and hip and I used to wear flannels with one arm and a hat with no peak.

‘I guess I’m getting older – not that you’d notice because I don’t look much older.’

Since starring in Heartbreak High, Scott has featured in local dramas such as Blue Heelers, Always Greener and long-running soap Neighbours.

He has also stepped behind the camera to direct episodes of Neighbours, as well as the recently axed AFL-themed drama Playing for Keeps.
