Heidi Klum, 47, is completely unrecognizable with BROWN HAIR and heavy eyebrows in image from 1992 before her blonde bombshell days
Heidi Klum has built a career on being a blonde bombshell in the vein of Barbarella with campaigns that include Victoria’s Secret fashion shows and covers for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.
So it was a shock to see that the 47-year-old model had brunette hair and thick eyebrows at the age of 19.
On Sunday the Project Runway star posted a very rare image of herself when she first started modeling in 1992. She was hardly recognizable in the headshot image.

In the throwback photo, Klum had dark hair that was worn up in an old fashioned swirl updo.
She also had thick eyebrows that made her look more Brooke Shields than Cheryl Tiegs, and heavy eye makeup.
And the star had rounder features with fuller cheeks in the Sepia toned portrait.
‘It’s been a while …..’ said the mother-of-four as she added a funny emoji.
The German powerhouse got her start in 1992 when she won the Model 92 competition and was handed a $300K modeling contract.
The hot thing she became: At the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in NYC in 2003 she looked a bit like Britney Spears with white hair and a dark tan
Next came covers for Elle and Vogue and contracts with Escada and Vera Wang then guest starring roles in Spin City, Sex And The City as well as CSI: Miami.
She hit bombshell status when she worked for Victoria’s Secret and parlayed that into a TV career with Project Runway and now America’s Got Talent.
She has four kids: Helene (Leni), 16, Henry, 15, Johan, 14, and Lou, 11.
Last year Klum’s daughter Leni made her debut as a model on the cover of Vogue Germany.
Now and then: As a youth in Germany, left, with dark hair and browns in 1992; remade into a California blonde bombshell for Victoria’s Secret in 2009
A body to love: In 2003 she wore the fantasy bra for VS that had a large diamond
The supermodel’s teenage girl – whose adopted father is musician Seal – stars alongside her mom on the cover of the prestigious fashion magazine, with the pair rocking matching colourful trouser suits.
Leni, whose parent teased earlier this month that her daughter was keen to follow in her footsteps with a career in modelling, revealed in the cover interview that she had first received offers to model when she was just 12 or 13.
However, Heidi wouldn’t allow her to do it so young and in hindsight she understands why.

Leni told the publication: ‘It was only a matter of time before I would try it myself as a model. The first offer came when I was only 12 or 13, from a brand I loved to wear: Brandy Melville. Back then I begged Mom, but no chance! I now understand that it would have been too early.
‘For most other jobs, I’d have to stifle my crazy ways to look ‘professional.’ As a model, I can let everything out and just be who I am. The job is the perfect outlet for all the energy that I have in me.’
Leni’s modelling debut comes just weeks after Heidi hinted that it won’t be long before Leni launches her career.
The host said: ‘She’s old enough now. I always thought she was too young. We always also decided to keep the children out of the public eye. But she’s driving a car now, she’s 16, so I figured if you can do that, you can also model now if this is what you wish to do.’
Still a 10: The pinup at home in Los Angeles during the early days of the lockdown
The blonde beauty explained that while she loved every minute of her catwalk career, you have to be ‘a very strong person’ to be a model.
She added: ‘Obviously, as a mother, [I want my] child to do what she wants to do. The industry is great and I love it and I’ve been in it for over 20 years but it’s also, it’s a lot of traveling, it’s different.
‘You have to be a strong person, especially as a woman you have to be very strong.’
Klum’s kids are attending their online classes late at night because of the time difference whilst they’re in Germany with their mother.
The model flew her children out to Germany with her when she started filming for ‘Germany’s Next Top Model’.

And as a result, her brood are having to do their schoolwork in the middle of the night, because of the time difference between their home in Los Angeles, and their temporary base in Europe.
She said: ‘It’s very hard for them. When I decided this could be a possibility that I’m doing the show in Germany, I asked all my kids and I said, ‘Is this something you guys are even up for? Because we will have to go for quite some time.’ They all wanted to go because we’ve been stuck in the house.
‘It’s just a nice change for them, but it’s definitely hard for them because they are doing school in a different time zone. Again – thank you so much to the teachers, the schools around the world. They’re making all these things happen that the brains of our kids can continue on learning and being those sponges that they need to be right now.’

Heidi also praised her children as ‘real troopers’ for getting on with their schoolwork despite the late nights.
She added: ‘It’s hard because they do it here late at night, until like 11:00 pm at night because they actually are doing school on LA time still with their class. So kudos to my kids for not slacking and doing it all. They’re real troopers.’
And the blonde beauty even reflected on what kind of student she was when she was at school, as she said she had days where she was ‘really really bad’.
Speaking to People, she said: ‘How was I? Either I was really, really good or really, really bad! I had art and math as my majors that I was very good at, but I was not so good in all the other things. It came out okay.’
