Mi casa es NOT tu casa! Alec Baldwin is ‘living in separate house from Hilaria and the kids because of COVID concerns’ in the wake of Boston-born wife’s fake Spanish heritage scandal
- SNL star Alec, 62, is said to be renting a home in Amagansett, near the Hamptons home where Hilaria and kids are staying, so he can quarantine away from them
- He has been traveling between New York City and the upmarket Long Island neighborhood for work
- The actor’s car broke down on Tuesday while he was driving solo around the area; his yoga teacher wife was also seen on a lonesome outing on Sunday
- News that the couple are residing in separate homes comes amid accusations that Hilaria – whose real name is Hillary – faked her Spanish background
- She and Alec traveled to the Hamptons with their kids soon after the scandal broke on December 21, and have been there ever since
Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria are ‘living in separate houses’ so that the actor can quarantine away from his family amid ‘concerns about COVID’, it has been reported in the wake of ongoing scandal over the yoga teacher’s fake Spanish heritage.
The 62-year-old SNL star is said to be staying at a rented house in Amagansett – an upmarket neighborhood that is located around a mile away from his East Hamptons estate, where his wife and children have been staying since she was first accused of faking her European background.
Unlike Hilaria – real name Hillary Hayward-Thomas – who has attempted to remain under the radar since heading out to the Hamptons amid the scandal last month, Alec has been traveling back and forth between the Long Island neighborhood and New York City so he can continue working.

A source told Page Six that he rented a second home in the Hamptons so that he can quarantine away from his family while he continues to travel into the city for work.
Alec and Hilaria were last pictured together on January 2, when they were seen enjoying a stroll on the grounds of their East Hamptons estate alongside the family’s two nannies.
Meanwhile, a somber-looking Hilaria was seen making a solo outing in the Hamptons this weekend – her first public sighting since it was revealed that husband Alec is quarantining away from her and their five kids amid concerns about COVID-19.
It has been a rocky few weeks for the 36-year-old Boston-born yoga guru, who has been staying in the family’s Hamptons home since the end of December – when she became embroiled in a serious scandal over allegations that she has been faking her Spanish heritage.
Hilaria – whose real name is Hillary Hayward-Thomas – was seen driving around the upmarket neighborhood by herself in a large black SUV, wearing a face mask around her chin and a large pair of headphones over her ears.
At one point she put on a large set of Beats headphones as her matching protective face mask was worn down on her chin.
The couple are parents to five children – daughter Carmen, seven, and sons Rafael, five, Leonardo, four, Romeo, two, and Eduardo, four months.
The Glengarry Glen Ross actor said last month in an Instagram post that the grind has not been ‘a lot of fun’ as he racks up miles working amid the ongoing pandemic.
‘I’m here in this guesthouse that’s near our house, that I’m staying in when I’m quarantining,’ he said. ‘I go into New York and work a little bit and come back and have to quarantine here for a few days.’
Just last week it was reported that the couple are ‘very upset’ that her alleged Spanish heritage has come under scrutiny.
The yoga teacher, who had long played up her purported links to Spain, has been ‘deeply affected’ that heritage is now ‘being questioned,’ a source told Entertainment Tonight on Monday.
However her Saturday Night Live star husband ‘unconditionally supports and loves Hilaria in whatever she does,’ the source claimed.

Ironically, Alec is the only one of the couple who ever explicitly stated his wife was Spanish, telling David Letterman in 2013 ‘my wife is from Spain’ in a now viral clip from his talk show.
Meanwhile The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Dorit Kemsley defended the exposed culture vulture last Saturday following her Spanish scandal.
‘I feel bad for what she’s going through at the moment. I don’t think she deserves it. I’ve had so much scrutiny over the way I speak,’ the 44-year-old Beverly Beach designer – who boasts 1.1M social media followers – wrote via Instastory.
‘I’ve learned to ignore all the noise but at first it was really hurtful. I’m sure all of this backlash has been hard on her. I don’t know her but I’ve followed her for years and I hope she’s back on social media soon.

‘I would love to see less trolling and bullying on social media in 2021. If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all.’
The influencer has yet to apologize or admit any fault over the public’s perception that she was born and raised in Majorca after a Twitter thread from Leni Briscoe went viral.
Hillary has since clarified she was born and raised in Boston’s posh Beacon Hill district to parents (who moved to Spain in 2011) with deep roots in the United States.
Baldwin even went as far as to blame her agency CAA and ¡Hola! magazine for mistakenly referring to her as Spanish in an interview with the New York Times last month.

‘Home is where my parents are going to be,’ the Mom Brain podcaster bizarrely explained. ‘If my parents move to China, I am going to go to China and say, “I’m going home.”‘
But as far back as 2011, Hillary perpetuated her fictional heritage by tweeting that she was a ‘Spanish yoga teacher.’
As recent as two months ago, Baldwin’s husband Alec told Aaron and Rohit’s Hopeless Show ‘my wife is from Spain’ and he said the same on Late Show with David Letterman in 2013.

Meanwhile, Connecticut-born Dorit has been blasted for years for affecting an English accent – blaming the influence of her British husband Paul aka ‘PK.’
‘I think the way I speak is probably a combination of many things. First and foremost, I am married to a Brit who’s got a very, very strong London accent,’ Kemsley told Bravo’s Daily Dish in 2017.
‘And I’m sure some of his inflections have sort of rolled over on me. My parents are not American. I was born and raised in America. I did spend a significant amount of time, nearly 10 years, back and forth going to Europe.’
Next month, Dorit and the 53-year-old Nixxi Entertainment CEO will celebrate the seventh birthday of their son Jagger and fifth birthday of their daughter Phoenix – followed by their sixth wedding anniversary in March.

CAN’T KEEP TRACK OF HER OWN STORY: HILARIA’S LATEST CONTRADICTIONS
How she met Alec:
Hilaria claimed that she told husband Alec from the off that she was from Boston despite his now infamous 2013 Letterman interview in which he claimed she is Spanish.
‘My wife is from Spain,’ the 62-year-old had said.
‘I walked by him,’ Hilaria told the Times of meeting Alec in a vegan restaurant in 2011.
‘He said, “Where are you from?” And I said, “I’m from Boston.” That was the first thing I said, that has always been my narrative.’
Yet, two years later, Alec was on Letterman saying she was from Spain, which she did not give an explaination for.
Why her Spanish accent changes:
Hilaria says that despite being raised in Boston, she speaks in English with a Spanish accent depending on her emotions at the time.
The Today Show incident:
The 36-year-old also claimed she was confused about the word for cucumber on the ‘Today Show’ because she was nervous to be on live TV for one of the first times.
Yet she is clearly heard asking for the word in English.
How much time she has spent in Spain:
Hilaria now says that she was born in Boston but started to visit Spain annually as a baby, implying she only vacationed in the country.
She has previously only spoken about the Spanish island Mallorca where her parents and older brother like but not claims to have spent most of their family vacation time on mainland Spain in Madrid, Seville and Valencia.
She told the Times that Spain ‘was part of my childhood’ but could not say how much time she had spent there in total.
Claim she went to school in Spain:
‘Sometimes there was school involved. Sometimes it was vacation. It was such a mix, mishmash, is that the right word? Like a mix of different things.’
In the interview, Hilaria suggested that she went to school in Spain but there is not evidence of this.
Her move to NYC:
The story she told the New York Times leaves ambiguity on whether she moved to New York from Spain as she has previously said or whether she moved from another part of the US.
‘I was born in Boston. I spent time in Boston and in Spain. My family now lives in Spain. I moved to New York when I was 19 years old and I have lived here ever since,’ she told the Times.
‘For me, I feel like I have spent 10 years sharing that story over and over again. And now it seems like it’s not enough.’
Yet Hilaria had previously said she moved from Spain.
Profiles stating she was born in Spain:
Hilaria alleges that she did not know that magazine ¡Hola! had written that she is Spanish as she does not read pieces about herself.
And claims that talent organization Creative Artists Agency must have pulled their bio that states she was born in Mallorca, Spain, from the internet without fact checking.
