Holly Willoughby did not attend Ant McPartlin's wedding to Anne-Marie Corbett 'for a legitimate reason', a source has claimed.

The This Morning presenter, 40, did not attend the star-studded Hampshire wedding of the Saturday Night Takeaway host Ant, 45, and his bride Anne-Marie, 43, on Saturday 7 August.

A source told OK! that it was not 'true' that Holly missed the wedding to avoid an encounter with her former management, YMU, who represent Ant and co-star Declan Donnelly, 45, amid her reported legal battle with the agents.

"Holly would not have missed Ant’s wedding if she really couldn’t help it," a source close to the Dancing on Ice host told The Sun.

“She wouldn’t miss a friend’s wedding because of anything business related. That’s just not the case. Anyone who knows her knows how important her friendships are to her.

“There is another reason she couldn’t be there and she has explained this to the people who matter the most in this – Ant and Anne-Marie."

OK! has contacted YMU for comment.

Holly penned 'congratulations' alongside four love hearts on a sweet wedding snap posted to Ant and Dec's official Instagram page.

It comes after Holly left the showbiz agency YMU in August last year to launch her own talent company, Roxy Management.

A source said at the time: “Lockdown has given her time to reflect and think about her future.

“In many ways, it has become the perfect opportunity to start afresh and it was just time for a change.

“She is really excited about managing herself and having more say over decisions on a day-to-day basis.”

Ant and Anne-Marie were joined by a wealth of stars for their nuptials at St Michael's Church in Heckfield on Saturday 7 August.

Holly's This Morning co-host Phillip Schofield was seen dressed in a smart black suit with matching gloss shoes alongside his wife Stephanie Lowe.

Elsewhere Frank Lampard and wife Christine Lampard were the first time arrive on scene, with Frank dressed in a dashing navy suit while Christine wore a red dress with flower print cutout, matching with black strapped heels and a black purse.

Britain's Got Talent judge David Walliams was also there, as he arrived with Keeley Hazell, while Ant and Dec's former co host Cat Deeley smiled outside the church with husband Patrick Kielty.

Former British Got Talent host Stephen Mulhern arrived to the venue in a pastel blue suit and former colleague Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway competition presenter Andi Peters arrived in a smart grey coloured suit matched with a blue shirt.
