Holly Willoughby has revealed she’s had to cancel her planned 40th birthday bash this week due to lockdown.
Speaking on Thursday’s This Morning, the star, who will mark her milestone birthday on February 10, lamented her lack of celebrations.
The show aired a segment on ‘how to celebrate your birthday in lockdown’ and Holly admitted the segment was particularly relevant to her.

Speaking to co-host Phillip Schofield Holly confessed: ‘It’s bittersweet as next week I’m celebrating my big 4-0 and tomorrow night would have been my big birthday party that I had to cancel!’
‘So it will look very different. But as long as I’ve got a cake and a glass in my hand I’ll be fine.’
Holly’s close friend Phil did his best to console her, offering her a snack and telling her: ‘Here have a wotsit Holly, It’ll be fine.’
Last week it was revealed Holly plans to celebrate her birthday with a Zoom call with her showbiz pals.

Among those reportedly planning to pop up onscreen for the virtual bash are her pals Emma Bunton, 45, Nicole Appleton, 46, and Tamzin Outhwaite, 50, as well as her big sister Kelly, 42.
The Sun quotes the TV personality as saying about her rapidly approaching big day: ‘I’m really looking forward to it.’
‘My thirties have been all about the kids, bringing them up, keeping all these balls in the air, but now they’re getting older I can start focusing on things happening for me.’
Holly will have plenty of company at her £3million south-west London home, which she shares with her husband Dan Baldwin and their three children Harry, 11, Belle, nine, and Chester, six.
Elsewhere on Thursday’s This Morning, the presenters were forced to apologise when technical issues meant viewers were unable to hear them on air.
Admitting some areas of the country were affected, Phil apologised while Holly insisted:
‘During the break we were putting cables together, I’m all plugged in,’ but Phil had to point out ‘You’re probably not even hearing this’.
