The actor, 60, who dated the model from 1987 to 2000, fled the capital to the house near Bath that he rented for a year, after he was arrested for an illicit liaison with prostitute Divine Brown in Los Angeles in 1995.
Hugh’s former cottage certainly proved to be the ideal escape, as it boasts three acres of land, at least five bedrooms, three bathrooms, and even a library of sorts with one of the reception rooms covered with wall-to-wall books.

Hugh’s former country home, which he famously returned to following his arrest 26 years ago, is situated on a quiet lane and boasts classic brickwork and beams in keeping with the rustic feel.
The property, which was converted from an old barn, has been put up for sale by its owners by James and Beryl Golob after they purchased the property for £1.95 million in 2013.
The interior features a relaxed kitchen and aga, as well as white wooden worktops and oak flooring, with low ceilings that are a fixture of such country properties.
As well as a room that could be designated as a library of sorts, the house also features classic wooden furnishings and simple whitewashed walls, and benefits hugely from large windows offering plenty of natural light.
