Chris Moyles only managed to bag one star in his second Bushtucker Trial of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2022.
The radio DJ arrived at the trial clearing on Wednesday night’s episode with ‘tears in his eyes’, telling hosts Ant and Dec, ‘I’m sh*****g myself’.
And his fear took over, leaving him with only one star for camp, which led to a shock reaction from viewers and hosts Ant and Dec.

Having learned he’d be taking on today’s ‘Boiling Point’ Trial, Chris spoke of his nerves and admitted: ‘As much as all the campmates go, “Just try your best it will be fine, don’t worry about it”, underneath it, they’re going, “Come back with at least more than yesterday!”
‘I just want to disappear. Three stars yesterday… I would love to come back with 11, but I don’t know what it is, so I don’t know how brave I’m going to be. I’ll try my best.’
Boy George told Bush Telegraph: ‘Fear creates more fear. We all understand that, but in the moment you panic. I really want him to do it because I think it will be really good for his self-esteem.’

As he spoke with hosts Ant and Dec, Ant noted: ‘He’s got tears in his eyes.’
Chris said: ‘Yes! I’m sh**ing myself.’
Ant explained the Trial rules: ‘This is Boiling Point. You’ve got to enter the boiler room and retrieve four spanners. You’re going to use those spanners to release 11 stars that are within the boiler room and the underground pipe network. Only stars in the star bag at the end of time will count.’
He added: ‘This is a Bushtucker Trial, so the chances are you’re not going to be alone down there.’
Chris said: ‘When you say down there…. I should have done panto. Why is it enclosed spaces guys?’

Having retrieved the spanners and making his way into a watery section of the pipe, Chris said to himself: ‘Don’t panic… I’m really sorry, I’m really sorry. God I’m panicking I won’t be able to breathe on the other side.’
As Dec tried to advise him on where to go next, Chris yelled: ‘I got it, I know!’
Ant laughed: ‘There’s no need for anger. You’re getting angry with the wrong people here.’
Chris admitted: ‘You’re right, I’m really sorry.’

As he continued to try to go underwater to unscrew stars, he found he couldn’t keep himself under the water long enough.

Having collected two stars, Chris put the spanners in his star bag to move to another section. However, Chris revealed: ‘This is going to be the worst trial you’ve ever had… I’ve lost my spanners!’
Dec said: ‘You’ll have to go back and get them!’
Chris then revealed: ‘Everything’s now fallen out.’ A shocked Dec asked: ‘What, the stars?’

Counting out one star, Chris said: ‘I can’t go back to camp.’
Chris added: ‘They’ll all say really nice things and every single one of them will be lying… I think I’m going to go back and tell them I got none.’
Dec laughed: ‘And then one is a nice surprise? That’s really clutching at straws.’
Returning to camp Chris told them: ‘It’s really not good news and I’m really sorry. This is so awkward. I didn’t and I’m not joking, I got one star. To make it worse I got two and it fell out of my bag.’

Jill laughed, saying: ‘I’ve never turned up to the wrong stadium for a game.’
However, Jill did reveal she’d turned up to the wrong speaking event once: ‘I was on at 12.30pm, the guy comes, takes my bag, mics me up.
Memories: The campmates were reminiscing on times they’ve been late for work which led to George recalling how he used to hold flights and then passengers would ‘sneer’ at him when he boarded (pictured in 1983)
‘He says, ‘Oh, Jill, I didn’t even know you were speaking today. I was like, ‘Sorry I’m just running a bit late, I’m probably not the main person’, having a bit of a joke.
‘He gets us up on stage, I look up, I’m at Vodafone. I was like, ‘I’m not talking for Vodafone today’. I was at the wrong talk.’
Boy George revealed: ‘I did a show with Adam Ant in America a couple of years ago. He turned up a minute before he went on stage. Suddenly this car pulls up, he gets out, walks on. He must have planned it, it was so brilliant. Everyone was freaking out.’
Chris said: ‘I’ve arrived at the studio, got out of the cab, walked in, as the jingle’s playing… I just walked through the door, put my headphones on, went, ‘Good morning everybody’.

Later, Boy George was less than impressed when his camp mate Scarlette Douglas brought up his jail-time and court case.
In 2009 the Karma Chameleon singer, 61, was sentenced to 15 months for the assault and false imprisonment of Norwegian male sex worker Audun Carlsen during a ‘psychotic episode’, and ended up serving four months in prison.
The Culture Club star, whose real name is George Alan O’Dowd, has since turned over a new leaf and celebrated a decade of sobriety in 2018.

Talking in camp, Scarlette said: ‘What happened with you BG and some guy in handcuffs and a radiator?’
Boy George replied: ‘That’s not true.’

‘I thought she shouldn’t have said what she said to me. And I thought I handled it really well as it’s a big sore point for me when people say things like that.’

Boy George replied: ‘Good job I know what the full story was. The best way to explain my thing, Scarlette, if I beat someone up there would be photographs. And there were none, because it didn’t happen.’
‘So when you beat someone up, the first thing the police do is take a photograph and they show them in court.
‘There was no photos because I didn’t do that. But I did do one thing. I did handcuff him, yeah.’
‘Because I’d handcuffed the guy I’d already assaulted him. So, when I said ‘I did it’, I thought, I’ll tell the truth they’ll let me go home. I went to prison for four months. I was on tag for four months as well.’

He added: ‘Do you know what people in prison were amazing to me. They loved me.’
Scarlette asked: ‘What was that experience like?’
Boy George said: ‘It was very boring. The clothes was quite similar to this. They also thought I was going to be a total nightmare.
‘And when I wasn’t… they literally thanked me when I left. They were like, ‘Oh my god. I knew when I was there, I was like, ‘right this isn’t my life. This isn’t what I want, I’m never coming back’. I accepted it and I just thought I’ll take what happens.’
He added: ‘Sometimes I think, do I want to explain it? I know the truth. I also know, if I’d done what I was accused of doing, I don’t think I’d be working. I don’t think I’d ever have come back from it. That was a slightly tabloid exaggerated scene.’
There was more tension between Boy George and Scarlette when he accused her of trying to shut him down as he attempted to debate Matt’s political choices.

Chatting in the camp, George told the former Health Secretary of the government’s choices: ‘Just spend less on arms. £35 billion a year. Why do you sneer at spending less on arms?’

Interrupting, Scarlette said: ‘Matt, just quickly, you know when you asked whose socks they were and I asked you to put them over here… remember the socks from this morning, I said just stick them… where did you put them?’
Noting the topic change, George said: ‘She’s trying to save you, very interesting.’

He added in the Bush Telegraph said: ‘I just noticed sometimes when I start a debate with Matt, Scarlette comes in and kind of shuts me down a bit or tries to change the subject. I don’t know whether Scarlette’s got political aspirations. But sorry, I’m just not going to stop talking. I will say what I want.’
George joked to Matt: ‘You haven’t got out of that debate, come back.’
Matt replied: ‘I’m not doing that one. I’m not doing it,’ prompting George to say: ‘That’s interesting.’
Change of topic: Scarlette changed the subject to socks while George was speaking to Matt about governmental decisions
In the Bush Telegraph, Matt said: ‘I seem to have a trial whether I go out on an official trial or stay in camp. But most of the conversations are really interesting and I love a debate anyway, so that’s fine.’
Seann said of George’s reactions in the Bush Telegraph: ‘Boy George is the firework in the jungle. It’s absolutely hilarious. He does not care. And I think we all love him for it.’
Later, George said to Seann at the creek: ‘She [Scarlette] sort of shut me down and she’s done it a few times. Matt is a grown adult and he can answer me. I’m not going to be shut down.
‘If you don’t want to talk about something interesting, that’s your problem. It really annoyed me because it’s happened about three or four times. I don’t know whether it’s deliberate… It’s a weird thing. Are we going to sit here and talk about biscuits all day?’
On a more light-hearted note, Mike once again sported skimpy budgie smugglers during Wednesday’s episode.
The former rugby player, 44, left little to the imagination after he squeezed into the bright tropical swimwear for a dip in the camp creek.
Lioness Jill Scott later told the Bush Telegraph even the ‘freezing’ water, couldn’t stop the Royal from donning his snazzy speedos.
Skimpy: Mike Tindall was once again sported skimpy budgie smugglers during Wednesday’s episode
She said: ‘It’s freezing in there [the creek] but nothing stops Mike from turning up in his little budgie smugglers’.
‘He’s got a few different pairs from what I can see and he’s getting more confident, showing them off daily’.
On Sunday’s episode Mike was accused of wearing his wife Zara’s bikini bottoms by cheeky hosts Ant & Dec.
After the Rugby star again took a dip in the creek, the camera cut to the co-hosts with Ant teasing: ‘I tell you what did come as a shock, what about that swimwear?
‘I want to know what Zara was thinking of that… “That’s where my bikini bottoms went!” ‘
