Inside Gemma Collins’ £1.35m ‘dream’ Essex home: Star relocates to a five-bedroom barn conversion with an acre of land, a sprawling living area and FOUR en suite bathrooms

Gemma Collins has relocated to a sprawling £1.35 million home in Essex after gushing she’d finally bought her ‘dream’ house last month.

The TOWIE star, 40, has set up home in a vast five-bedroom property converted from a barn, complete with around an acre of land and four en suite bathrooms.

It comes after Gemma revealed she’d purchased a life-size glittery horse for her new pad, telling fans she was hoping to buy a real one in the future.

Gemma’s new home boasts a total of five bedrooms, with the master room also featuring its own en suite bathroom and dressing room with plenty of space for the star’s lavish celebrity wardrobe.

The rooms are all designed with a neutral colour scheme, with predominantly plain white walls and carpets, and three of the other bedrooms also have their own bathrooms. 

The main bathroom features an enclosed bath as well as a separate rainfall shower and sink, all in a muted tiled colour scheme, the perfect base for Gemma to make the space her own.

Relaxing: Given the house it converted from a barn, the entire property has a rustic feel, with an open wood finish and floor-to-ceiling windows

The reality star’s living area has floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of the surrounding countryside, with the open-plan design allowing for a flow between the lounge, dining and kitchen spaces. 

In the kitchen Gemma also has plenty of space and cook and entertain her celebrity pals, with granite surfaces, a double sink and a contrasting breakfast bar with blue wood cupboards.

As well as a study and utility room, Gemma’s new house also features a gated driveway and garage area, and a large Sandstone patio that leads off the living room through double doors.

Last month Gemma gushed to fans she’d finally picked up the keys to her ‘dream home,’ a welcome piece of good news for the star as both her parents continued to battle Covid.

She took to Instagram to share her exciting new venture with her fans alongside a snap of her keys and a selection of housewarming gifts. 

In the caption of her Instagram post Gemma said that while she was thrilled to finally have the keys to her new house, she couldn’t focus on her home until her dad had recovered from COVID-19.

Lots of potential: As well as being spacious inside, Gemma’s home has lots of outside area around it perfect for creating cosy spaces in the garden

Get gardening: Gemma already has a nice seating area to the side of her home and a few plants along the driveway leading to the main door

Plans: She added: ‘I don’t have a clue how I’m going to style it yet but it’s going to be fabulous as soon as my dad is home from hospital and he sees it then my heart will be full and I can get cracking’

Gemma, who was living with her brother Russell in lockdown, revealed last week her dad was finally on the road to recovery after battling Covid, and was thrilled to learn that her house purchase had finally gone through.

Speaking on her podcast she said: ‘When I took my dad to see the house he absolutely loved it.

‘I told him in the hospital dad the house has all gone through and i just see lights in his eyes. I am so excited about it. All in all it has been a positive positive week for me.’

Gemma’s journey to land her new house hasn’t been easy, as she broke down in tears last year when her sale fell through, later deciding to move in with her brother for the remainder of the pandemic.
