James Brolin dished on his relationship with wife Barbra Streisand during an appearance on Friday’s episode of The Talk.
The 80-year-old actor said that he’s closer than ever to his 79-year-old actress wife since the pandemic began and that they’ve ‘fallen in love’ again over the last year.
The happy couple initially met in the 1990s and went on to tie the knot after just a few years of dating.
Getting deep: James Brolin opened up about how he strengthened his relationship with Barbra Streisand over their period of quarantine on Friday’s episode of The Talk
‘We… were put out by COVID and a lot of people, their marriages haven’t gone well during these 15 months. We’ve literally fallen in love over this period of time, just being stuck together every day and making it work,’ Brolin explained.
Continuing, he added, ‘Neither one of us have ever gone out the door and we are good at talking things out. And 23 years is better than ever. I must say.’
Recalling when he first met the songstress, Brolin said many of his friends discouraged him from pursuing his now-wife.
‘I heard it over, that she’s a tough one.’ he said.
Brolin went on to express that he and his wife worked well together despite their differences.
‘I like women who say their piece and I’m a calming factor and she gets me up and doing things I wouldn’t normally accomplish and it’s like a perfect situation, the two of us,’ he said.
