Jamie Lynn Spears has claimed in her new tell-all book that her sister Britney Spears once locked them in a room together while holding a knife.
The shocking detail was revealed during a conversation with Juju Chang on Wednesday’s Nightline, where Jamie Lynn, 30, was asked why she included it in her memoir.
‘First off, I think that experiencing my own panic attacks and how sometimes we can feel in those moments is important, but also it’s important to remember I was a kid in that moment,’ she replied.
It is not yet clear when the alleged incident took place, or how old Jamie Lynn was.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Britney’s attorney for comment.
She alleges that Britney, 40, grabbed a knife as she locked them both in a room, and claimed there were further incidences of altercations.
Talking about the alleged incident further, Jamie Lynn added: ‘I was scared. That was a moment I had. I also was fearful to really say anything because I didn’t want to upset anybody, but I also was so upset that she didn’t feel safe.’
In the book, Things I Should Have Said, the mother-of-two also claims that Britney’s behaviour over the years has been, ‘erratic, paranoid and spiraling.’

In a separate alleged incident, Jamie Lynn claimed Britney began ‘screaming’ in her face, years later.
‘She cursed at me and so I just walked out of the room, we’re all family, I’m not trying to argue. When I tried to remove myself from the situation, that’s when I guess she got really angry and my oldest daughter tried to mediate the situation. I hated that,’ Jamie Lynn claimed.
‘That’s not what you’re supposed to do, you’re 12. [My parents] told me I can’t upset Britney. I’m like, you saw me and my children get upset, when will that matter?’
Jamie Lynn has two children, Maddie, 12, with Casey Aldridge, and a son, Ivey, three, with current husband Jamie Watson.

Juju Chang also asked Jamie Lynn about Britney calling her sister out on social media, for taking part in a tribute to the singer at the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards.
In her new memoir, Things I Should Have Said, Jamie Lynn details her sister’s behavior as ‘erratic, paranoid, spiraling’
‘I don’t like that my sister showed up at an awards show and performed my songs to remixes!’ Britney – who was honored at the awards show and was seen in the audience clapping along to her sister’s performance – wrote in a July 17 Instagram post. ‘My so-called support system hurt me deeply!’
Addressing the drama, Jamie Lynn said: ‘Honestly, it was somewhat confusing to me about that and I actually have spoke to her about that.
‘I was doing a tribute to honor my sister and all the amazing things that I’ve done. I have cleared up with the fact that I don’t think she’s personally upset with me about that.’
Elsewhere in the interview, Jamie Lynn claims both her sister Britney and father Jamie would take sobriety tests together, claiming that it put her at ease.
‘I just, probably selfishly, was like everyone’s sober right now. I don’t have to be anxious for the first time,’ she explained. ‘There is actual people making sure everybody’s on the right track and I didn’t have to worry what I was walking into.’
Britney’s father Jamie has had a well-documented struggle with alcohol abuse.
Her mother Lynne Spears wrote in her autobiography, Through the Storm, that Jamie ‘always enjoyed a beer here and there, but he didn’t start drinking heavily until after [their son Bryan] was born’ in April 1977.
Jamie went to rehab in 2004 after Britney reportedly urged her father to seek help.
While fighting to end her father’s conservatorship over her, Britney has accused her entire family – including Jamie Lynn (seen together in 2017) – of failing to help her
Up until last year, Jamie had been in complete control of his daughter’s affairs, under her 14-year-lond conservatorship.
In the interview, Jamie Lynn said her relationship with her father is ‘messy’ and explained: ‘I have good days and bad days. I think the relationship stands is that he’s still my father and I have to acknowledge that in a responsible way.’
Jamie Lynn also claimed in the interview that has been Britney’s biggest supporter and helped her to try and get out of the conservatorship.
Concluding the interview, Jamie Lynn said: ‘I love my sister. I’ve only ever loved and supported her and done what’s right by her and she knows that. So I don’t know why we’re in this position right now.’
