Jennifer Aniston, 52, is said to have shared some news about her plans to start a family during the Friends reunion special, which was filmed in Los Angeles last week. The Hollywood actress, who rose to fame playing Rachel Green in the hit sitcom, joined Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry for the TV event, which was initially meant to air in 2020, before the coronavirus pandemic made filming difficult for the cast.

Alongside the actors coming together again after the beloved series ended in 2004, fans can also reportedly expect an exciting baby announcement from Jennifer.

A source has claimed the highly anticipated TV special encouraged Jennifer to tell her co-stars and pals about her decision to adopt a little one.

The twice-divorced actress has reportedly decided to adopt a baby girl from Mexican orphanage, Casa Hogar Sion.

The star is a supporter of the orphanage, and her friends are saying the adoption process is expected to be finalised by June, according to reports.

The source revealed: “Jen felt the reunion was the perfect time to make her baby announcement to the whole gang.

“While the girls already knew – as they see each other regularly – she thought it would be special to tell the boys when they were all together, as she rarely sees them these days due to their busy lives and work commitments.

“Spending almost every waking hour together for a decade, they lived through every detail of each other’s lives and supported each other through all their hard times including Courteney’s fertility struggles and Jen’s painful divorce from Brad Pitt.

“Knowing how much they’ve always wanted this for Jen knowing her history, made it even more poignant for her to tell them her news so they could share and celebrate the milestone chapter in her life.”

“They were all overjoyed when she told them – giving her parenting advice, which she said she’d happily take on once she was settled in,” the insider added to Closer.

Express.co.uk has contacted representatives for Jennifer for comment.

It was previously reported that Jennifer was considering adopting a child from Casa Hogar Sion back in 2011, before she got married to her second husband Justin Theroux.

Despite the rumours, The Morning Show star hasn’t divulged any details about her potential baby plans and has denied these reports in the past.

Since Jennifer reportedly began the adoption process last year, her close pal and former Friends co-star Courteney has been supporting her each step of the way, according to the source.

The Hollywood movie star also has plenty of experience being around kids, as she is the Godmother to Courteney’s 16-year-old daughter Coco.

Courteney, who played Jennifer’s on-screen best friend Monica Geller in Friends, is said to be planning the actress’ baby shower.

“Court knows Jen doesn’t want a big fuss made, but she wants to celebrate this huge milestone in her life so she’s planning an intimate dinner party for all her closest loved ones,” the source divulged.

Jennifer recently said she sees kids in her future in a candid chat with pal Sandra Bullock for Interview Magazine.

She said: “It’s not so much what I see myself doing, but it’s more like a little screenshot in my brain, where I hear the ocean, I see the ocean, I hear laughter, I see kids running, I hear ice in a glass, I smell food being cooked.

“That’s the joyous snapshot in my head.”

The actress previously slammed speculation that choosing her career over family prompted her split from Brad Pitt in 2005.

She told Vanity Fair in 2006: “A man divorcing would never be accused of choosing career over children.

“That really p**sed me off. I’ve never in my life said I didn’t want to have children. I did and I do and I will!”
