Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck take their moms out for Mother's Day

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck take both of their moms out for Mother’s Day celebration with their blended family

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck shared the love as they celebrate Mother’s Day by bringing both of their moms together.

The 53-year-old singer and actress — who attended the premiere of her new film The Mother on Wednesday — was joined by her actor–writer–director husband, 50, as they stepped out in Los Angeles with their mothers for some holiday festivities.

It appeared to be a family affair with their children from previous marriages, as Jennifer’s twins Emme and Max, 15, were seen getting out of an SUV with her, as was Ben’s middle child Seraphina, 14.

It’s not clear if his older daughter Violet, 17, or younger son Samuel, 11, were part of the group.

The loving family outing comes after Jennifer and Ben were seen looking tense at last week’s premiere for The Mother, but a source close to the couple told DailyMail.com that they are ‘in an incredibly good place’ at the moment and were not arguing on the red carpet.

Jennifer left her more sizzling ensembles in the closet for her Sunday gathering, instead favoring a lovely white off-the-shoulder dress covered in blue floral designs.

It had a frilly collar that sat just below her shoulders, along with puffy sleeves that stopped on her forearms.

She elevated her 5ft5in stature with white platform wedges, and she wore her caramel-colored hair styled down in thick waves that framed her cool amber-tinted aviator sunglasses.

She was seen chatting with her mother Guadalupe as they got out of the vehicle.

Her other wore a white blouse covered in black leaf designs, along with brown slacks, casual sandals and a crescent-shaped white handbag.

Emme opted for a casual punk-inspired ensemble with a baggy blue sweater decorated with cars, along with jean shorts and black high-top Converse sneakers.

Ben looked relaxed in a brown plaid shirt and olive-colored pants, along with Nike trainers.

The shoes were a fitting choice for Affleck, who directed and starred in Air, which details Nike’s attempts to sign Michael Jordan to create the iconic Air Jordan shoes.

The Armageddon star and his wife looked perfectly at ease among their blended family, a stark contrast from the apparent discomfort that they seemed to show just days earlier at the premiere of Jennifer’s new film The Mother.

However, a source close to the couple clarified to DailyMail.com that their stressed visages were a reaction to the stresses of the red carpet, and not an indication that they were fighting, as some observers speculated.

‘The narrative that they’re continually fighting is false,’ the source declared.

In fact, they added that the lovebirds are ‘in an incredibly good place, very loving and supportive of each other.’

The two may have been worried about post-red carpet plans, as new footage from the premiere showed them ‘talking about where to meet the rest of their family following the carpet for the screening.’

All three of Ben’s children from his marriage to Jennifer Garner and both of Jennifer’s twins joined them to watch the film after the adults posed for photographers.

A lip reader for DailyMail.com also confirmed that Ben and Jennifer were just talking about practicalities when they appeared to have combative looks on their faces.

Ben has his own movie out now, though it appears to have attracted considerably fewer viewers than Jennifer’s film.

His new thriller Hypnotic, which is helmed by Spy Kids, Sin City and Once Upon A Time In Mexico director Robert Rodriguez, has received middling reviews and came in sixth at the weekend box office with grosses of $2.3 million, according to Deadline.

That’s against a $70 million budget, and the film is unlikely to pick up from there, as it has received little in the way of promotional spending.

However, The Mother has topped the Netflix rankings in several countries.
