Jennifer Lopez ‘looking to move back to LA to be near Ben Affleck’… as it’s revealed ex Alex Rodriguez is looking to buy a new apartment in Manhattan
Jennifer Lopez is reportedly eyeing up a move back to Los Angeles amid her rekindled romance with Ben Affleck.
The songstress has been based in Miami in recent years where she shares a $40 million waterfront home with ex-fiancé Alex Rodriguez.
And now it’s being reported that Lopez, 51, who also owns a $28 million mansion in Bel Air, wants to start again in Los Angeles, to be closer to Affleck, who has a home in the Brentwood area of the city.

‘Before A-Rod, J.Lo spent more time in LA than in Miami, but while she was with him, Miami became their family base.’ a source told The Sun.
‘[Alex’s] ex is there and he is there a lot with his daughters – and JLo has strong roots in Miami as well.’
The source continued: ‘They were there all the time and [Jennifer] was living there most of the time with him and his girls, but now that they’ve ended their engagement, she is looking towards LA.’
The insider also explained that the Miami house reminds Lopez too much of her ex and Los Angeles is perfect for a fresh start as it’s convenient for her TV work and photoshoots, which more often take place on the west coast.

The source added that Lopez has no plans to move in with Affleck as it’s too soon after her split from A-Rod, which has been ‘much harder’ on the kids than on Lopez.
Last week, Lopez was spotted looking a couple of schools in Los Angeles for her twins Emme and Max, 13. It is rumored she wants her kids to go to the same school as Affleck’s children when they go back in September.
‘She knows her kids need time to get used to it and they need some stability.’ the insider added, explaining that the plan is to be moved and settled before the school year begins.

The source also claims that Lopez is also house hunting for a home closer to Affleck, however, her sprawling Bel-Air mansion is only a 20-minute drive from the actor’s $20 million Pacific Palisades bachelor pad.

Rodriguez shares two daughters; Natasha, 16 and Ella, 13, with his ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis, who resides in Miami.
Lopez and Rodriguez announced their split in April, after a two-year engagement, and the singer started seeing Affleck merely weeks later.

A source told People on Tuesday that the pair are ‘slowly starting to talk about the future,’ while continuing to ‘travel back and forth between Los Angeles and Miami’ to spend time with one another.
‘They are very happy together,’ the insider continued, stressing that the romance between and Ben and Jennifer ‘is not a casual relationship.’
‘They are taking it seriously and want it to be long-lasting.’
