Joe Swash has shared his excitement to be having another child, a day after fiancée Stacey Solomon revealed she’s pregnant.

The actor, 39, took to Instagram on Thursday to thank fans for all their ‘kind messages’ since the couple announced their happy baby news on Wednesday.

Stacey, 31, already shares son Rex, two, with Joe, and is also mum to Zachary, 13, and nine-year-old Leighton from previous relationships, while he is dad to Harry, 13.

Doting dad Joe penned: ‘Thank you all for your kind messages. I love Stace and our boys so much. I honestly can’t wait. I already love you so much little one.’   

Joe and Stacey’s second child was also discussed on Thursday’s Loose Women, with the panellists all sending their well wishes and sharing their relief the secret was out.

Host Kay Adams said: ‘We’ve got some really lovely news to share with you. Stacey is having a baby, another little pickle.

‘I am personally so glad because I nearly let the cat out of the bag on so many occasions. I am really, really pleased.’

And Jane Moore agreed, saying: ‘We can all breathe out now because we don’t have to keep it a secret anymore.’

Also appearing on the show was Frankie Bridge who wasn’t in on Stacey’s secret but revealed that they’d spoken about the possibility of having another baby recently.

The singer explained: ‘When I last saw Stacey I said “do you reckon you and Joe will have another one” and she was like “yeah we would really quite like another one”.

‘She was probably pregnant!’

The Loose Women panelist, who is set to appear on Friday’s show to discuss her pregnancy, also revealed that she and Joe had suffered devastating miscarriages before finally getting pregnant again.  

Sharing a photo of the family congregated around their newly-painted wendy house, she beamed with joy as her son Leighton delightedly held up her ultra scan photo.

Captioning the snap, she penned: ‘We are growing another pickle. We’ve never felt so grateful… I have no words.  

‘We didn’t think we would get the chance. We love you all to the moon and back. Lots of love From Me, Joe, Harry, Zach, Leighton, Rex, and our little pickle.’

Then taking to her stories, Stacey shared a video montage, which started with her hinting at some big news for her fans, writing: ‘Sorry I have been so quiet but we have something we are so excited to share with you I feel so nervous for so many reasons.  

She then uploaded a black and white video showing a negative pregnancy test alongside a floral bear arrangement as she wrote: ‘For a really long time we’ve been trying for another pickle. It didn’t work out and this was our news quite a few times

‘We decided we were so lucky already to have our boys. It is our biggest privilege in life and we are so grateful to be parents so we stopped trying and counted ourselves so so so blessed already.’

The slide then changed to a medical letter which confirmed that the former X Factor contestant had miscarried a child at six weeks.  

Another monochrome image showed Stacey and Joe holding hands, with the image giving a glimpse of the heartbreaking pain they must’ve endured.

Stacey continued: ‘For a while now I’ve felt so yuck and even though I thought about what it felt like I didn’t even want to go and check at first because well, just because you know (I don’t like to write it). 

‘But yesterday we went to check what was going on. And we were so grateful to hear an extra heartbeat in my tummy. We honestly couldn’t believe it.’

Sharing a clip of her ultrasound on a screen, the TV star went on: ‘So we told the boys and we’ve spent yesterday and today finishing the wendy house, ready to welcome a new pickle into our lives Boys we are so so so excited for you all.’

She concluded: ‘You’re already the most incredible brothers we ever could have imagined raising.’

The sweet video, set to a cover of Elvis’ hit Can’t Help Falling In Love, also saw the family construct a picnic bench, with everyone adding their handprints to the bench in purple paint.

Sharing a video of her labelling the hand prints, she wrote over the top: ‘Dear Harry, Leighton, Zachary and Rex… you fill our hearts so so so much they’re bursting… 

‘We can not wait to open our hearts even more and watch you open yours and see them grow even bigger to fit all of the love…’

Adding a scan photo of the newest pickle, she added: ‘Inside for your new…’

She wrote: ‘We love you all so so much. I don’t have many words right now, I feel so nervous and excited and happy and scared all at once… 

‘But what I do know is that we love you all to the moon and back. Lots of love from Me, Joe, Harry, Zachary, Leighton, Rex and…’

Stacey’s heartwarming baby news garnered several congratulatory messages from her fans and showbiz pals, who all flocked to share their well wishes. 

Last month, Stacey hinted that Joe had been a great support to her of late as she thanked him for being her ‘rock’.

The beauty put on a loved-up display with fiancé Joe on Bank Holiday Monday as they enjoyed their first date night since last year. 

Posting two loved-up snaps with Joe from the sprawling gardens of her new £1.2million Essex mansion, the presenter shared a gushing post as she thanked the former EastEnders star for being her ‘rock’.

Stacey penned: ‘Date Night. The sun has got his hat on and Joes finally taken his off! Last time we went on a date was last year in Ikea.

‘Aw bubs I miss you. Even though you’re always there, sometimes I still miss you. Thank you for being my rock always… I Love you to the moon and stars and back again… Always bubs.’  

Meanwhile, the couple have been busy planning their wedding, which will take place at their new £1.2million home Pickle Cottage after Joe proposed on Christmas Eve.

Speaking about their ceremony recently, Stacey told OK! Magazine: ‘It will just be me, Joe, my family and the rabbi in the garden at this rate. No food, no disco, nothing. So I’ve not sorted out my wedding and I’ve not sorted out this house.’

Stacey revealed the couple were engaged when she shared a snap of herself wearing her ring and wrote: ‘To the moon and back bub. I have no words.’

The loved-up pair met on the set for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! when the artist was crowned Queen of the Jungle and the former EastEnders star hosted spin-off series Extra Camp in 2010, a year after he took home the title.

The duo confirmed their relationship in January 2016, with the auburn-haired beauty stating at the time: ‘It’s going really well… we’re having fun, spending time together and getting to know each other.’

They announced they were expecting their first child together in February 2019, and welcomed baby Rex three months later.
