Yay! Sarah Jessica Parker has finally confirmed Aidan Shaw is returning for season two of And Just Like That….
Aidan was last seen in the 2010 spin-off movie Sex and the City 2, in which he took Carrie on a dinner date and stole a kiss, despite her being married to her now-late husband Mr. Big (Chris Noth).
It was reported that furniture maker Aidan is set for a ‘substantial, multi-episode arc’ in season two.
Last year, when season one of the Sex And The City sequel was in the works, the actor had teased he would be in the reboot. However, to the fans dismay, he never appeared in any of the episodes.

Sarah weighed in on his comment during an interview on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.
‘It was fun. It was fun for him to say that,’ the actress explained, adding that she found humor in his joke.
‘When he actually reached out, very kindly, because he’s nothing if not a gentleman, and apologized for doing that as a joke, and then I was like, ‘No, no, no, it’s a free country first of all.’
However, in an interview with Glamour last year, John expressed on a serious note that he would take on the role of Aiden once more if he was given the opportunity.
Big return: Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, she said of the rumours: ‘Could be, could be. Well, you know, I can’t be like, cryptic about it anymore!’
When talking about previously working on the award-winning series, he stated, ‘I loved every bit of being involved in it.’
He also discussed what he thinks his character would be like years later. ‘I feel like Aidan is one of those guys that five years or 10 years from now, he’s probably going to be doing the same thing.’
John also added, ‘I think he would probably be wearing some of the same clothes, working on furniture, and driving an old truck.’
Details or any inside look about Aiden in season two has yet to be revealed to anticipated fans.
Last time together: The characters of Aiden and Carrie were last paired together on screen for the Sex And The City 2 movie
The last time Carrie and Aiden were seen together was in the Sex And The City 2 feature film.
Aiden was married to his wife Kathy, and he revealed the couple had three children together. Updates on his marriage life and children will be touched on in the second season.
Besides leaping back into the Sex And The City universe, John recently finished filming the third movie in the My Big Fat Greek Wedding franchise.
Sarah is also reprising one of her other iconic roles, Sarah Sanderson, in the Disney+ sequel, Hocus Pocus 2.
Sarah recently teased what to expect from the new series: ‘Season 2 is about resilience and rebound and laughter, and finding laughter more easily for people who might have experienced grief.
‘More of our new cast members who we love.’
Returning favourites include Che Diaz (Sara Ramirez) and original stars Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis).
Meanwhile, Samantha Jones will feature in the story of the upcoming series.
Showrunner Michael Patrick King revealed in June that Kim Cattrall’s character – who was referenced via text message exchanges with Carrie – will play a part in the new episodes.
Re-united: The two stars will once again be re-united on the screen for the second season of And Just Like That
Asked if the characters will still be in contact in season two, he told Variety: ‘Yes!’
Carrie and Samantha met off-screen during the finale after Carrie scattered Mr. Big’s ashes, and Michael admitted each writer on the show ‘has a different version of what happened’ during their reunion.
He said: ‘It’s very funny, because every single one of the writers has a different version of what happened during that conversation.
‘So, I think there was some Champagne. I think there was a grownup back and forth, and a love affair that they realised that something’s more important than being afraid to heal.
‘I’m sure they had a great night. To me, they had a great night and things became resolved. Once Carrie let go of an old, old love, one of her current loves came back in.’
Kim isn’t expected to reprise her role on screen, but she recently insisted Samantha will ‘live forever’.
The actress has been locked in a feud with her former co-star Sarah Jessica for several years and she insisted she never considered her castmates to be her friends.
She said of their relationship: ‘I guess it’s how you define friends. I think we were colleagues. My colleagues aren’t my friends. It was professional.’
