Upon his return to the photo-sharing platform, the ‘True Love’ rapper unfollows his ‘Kids See Ghosts’ collaborator amid a fallout over Cudi’s friendship with Pete Davidson, who is currently dating Kim Kardashian.
AceShowbiz -The broken bond between Kanye West and Kid Cudi is seemingly irreparable, at least for now. The hip-hop-turned-gospel artist has unfollowed his former frequent collaborator on Instagram, sealing their beef.
Ye, who recently returned to the photo-sharing platform to unleash his fury at Adidas, has apparently unfollowed Cudi after feuding for months. Noticing this, DJ Akademiks shared a screenshot of the “Erase Me” rhymer missing from Ye’s following list and claimed that the Atlanta native “came on Instagram just to unfollow Kid Cudi.”
Ye and Cudi collaborated on songs like “Gorgeous”, “Welcome to Heartbreak” and “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1” and 2018’s joint album “Kids See Ghosts” before their friendship turned sour earlier this week, due to Cudi’s friendship with Pete Davidson, who is currently dating Ye’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
Ye publicly announced that Cudi wouldn’t be reprising his role on “Donda 2” after making two appearances on last summer’s predecessor. The Cleveland artist then hit back at the father of four via Instagram, “Too bad I don’t wanna be on ur album u f**kin dinosaur hahaha. Everyone knows I’ve been the best thing about ur albums since I met you. Ima pray for u brother.”
He added on Twitter, “We talked weeks ago about this. You’re whack for flipping the script and posting this lie just for a look on the internet. You ain’t no friend. BYE.”
Kanye extended an olive branch just days later by telling Cudi he “loves” him, but the latter never publicly replied. The 38-year-old then declared that Pusha T‘s “Rock N Roll” will be the last collaboration between him and his former G.O.O.D. Music boss.
“I did this song a year ago when I was still cool w Kanye,” he announced on Twitter. “I am not cool w that man. He’s not my friend and I only cleared the song for Pusha cuz thats my guy. This is the last song u will hear me on w Kanye.”
