‘It’s going to be a new me and a new era’: Katie Price reveals she will legally change her name when she weds Carl Woods… after keeping her surname in her first three marriages
She got engaged for the eighth time last month after a 10 month romance.
And Katie Price, 42, is proving this is the real deal and she said her marriage to Carl Woods, 32, will be different to her other three trips down the aisle as she plans to legally change her name for the first time.
Speaking to the Mirror on Sunday, she revealed: ‘I’m going to change it legally and be known as Katie Woods. I’m proud of it. It’s going to be a new me and a new era.’

Katie explained: ‘It’s the first and last time the ring is going to be off my finger.
‘My head’s in the right place. Not only am I head over heels in love, my kids approve and my family approve. It’s not a rash decision.
Carl asked the former model’s dad and her son Junior for permission before he popped the question and was given a ‘talking to’ by her 15-year-old.
The couple also said they intended to marry later this year in an unconventional ceremony that ‘no one has ever done’ before.

Katie admitted organising the special day would be a race against time as she wants her terminally ill mother Amy to be able to attend the wedding.
And, speaking of the future, Katie said it was ‘obvious’ she and Carl would be having a baby.
It comes after the reality star sparked speculation that she was pregnant earlier this year when she posted a cryptic photo cradling her stomach – just days after her ex-husband Kieran announced he was expecting a baby with fiancée Michelle Penticost.
When questioned about the intriguing snap, Katie said on Steph’s Packed Lunch: ‘I’ve put on weight. Anyone can speculate what they like. Pictures can be deceiving in lots of different ways.’

This marks Katie’s eighth engagement, with Gladiator star Warren Furman, businessman Scott Sullivan and model Leandro Penna all having previously proposed.
In 1996, Katie, then a surgery-free 18-year-old, got engaged to Warren, now 48, (better known as Ace), but they split in two years later.
She was also technically engaged to Scott, but has since admitted her heart wasn’t in it when he gave her a ring just before she was about to enter the I’m A Celebrity jungle in 2004, where she famously met Peter Andre.

Following a whirlwind romance the pair wed in Las Vegas in January 2010 but the marriage fell apart less than a year later.

The pair exchanged vows a mere five weeks later with Katie already pregnant with the couple’s first son Jett.

The reality star – who was still legally married to third husband Kieran at the time- made the shock announcement during an appearance on Loose Women.
Their engagement was short-lived however as the couple split in November of that year, with Katie admitting to Kris that she cheated on him.
The reality star went on to find love with Carl in July 2020 and their relationship has gone from strength-to-strength over their past ten months.
