Kelvin is known for his role as Andy Sugden on Emmerdale, however left the soap in 2016 to pursue other avenues.

The former Strictly Come Dancing winner has lived his whole life in Oldham but recently decided to move his family to the countryside to run his own farm.

Following his Strictly win he purchased a former working farm on the edge of The Peak District National Park.

Viewers of The One Show were able to see an exclusive clip of the new show ahead of Monday’s airing.

The video clip showed Kelvin struggle as he tried to give medicine to dozens of sheep.

He called on the help of his neighbour and fellow sheep farmer Jilly to show him how to administer worming medicine to a flock.

Kelvin still found it difficult, however, even after Jilly’s demonstration.

After giving medicine to one of the sheep, the Emmerdale star admitted the smell was making him feel unwell. He held on to the side of a gate to catch his breath and said: “It smells strong this stuff, doesn’t it?”

However, a queasy Kelvin replied: “I’m going to have to stop, I feel like I’m gonna faint.

“Whatever that smell is, it’s gone up my nose. I feel lightheaded.”

He told Jilly he felt like he could “hardly breathe” before she scoffed: “They must have been kind to you on Emmerdale, I’ll tell you that.”

Kelvin’s Big Farming Adventure airs BBC One on Monday, 17th January at 8.30pm.
