Kendall Jenner, 25, has drawn inspiration from one of the most iconic film actresses of the Golden Age of Hollywood. The model wowed her fans in a custom Givenchy gown that was a reimagined take on the look designed for Audrey Hepburn’s portrayal of Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady.
This year’s Met Gala theme was divided in two parts: ‘In America: A Lexicon of Fashion’ and ‘In America: An Anthology of Fashion’.
The crystal-embellished gown featured a train and carefully crafted embellished neck and shoulder pieces.
The model completed the look with slicked-back hair put into a bun.
Kendall’s make-up artist Mary Phillips also based the TV personality’s latest get-up on Hepburn’s classic make-up looks.
She told Vogue: “We wanted to show classic aspects of Audrey but in a more contemporary fashion.
“Once we knew the dress Kendall would be wearing, as a team, we collectively decided to take bits and pieces of Audrey’s glam from iconic images over her career.”
Fans of the model took to Twitter to share their admiration for the model and her stunning Met Gala look.
One person wrote: “I think Kendall Jenner won this year and she actually followed the theme.”
Another person added: “Hate to say it but Kendall Jenner served this year’s Met.”
A third commenter said: “Okay but Kendall Jenner in Givenchy!!!
“Love the modern take on Eliza Doolittle.”
Kendall’s older sister, Kim Kardashian, 40, had observers more divided with her all-black Balenciaga look for the exclusive event.

But other followers were not as impressed, with some comparing the look to a dementor from the Harry Potter franchise.
One Instagram user said: “Out there looking like a dementor.”
