King Charles III, 74, is set to be crowned on Saturday May 6 2023 in a Coronation at Westminster Abbey.
The service will be attended by royalty and influential politicians from the UK and across the world.
The monarch has also added a number of celebrities to his guest list, who will witness the service conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
Famous faces from Dame Joanna Lumley to Amanda Holden are confirmed to be attending, while showbiz royalty David and Victoria Beckham are also rumoured to be making an appearance.
Here is the star-studded celebrity guest list in full.
Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, 75, is confirmed to be attending King Charles’s ceremony, after composing the monarch’s Coronation anthem. The composer behind The Phantom of the Opera revealed he has already played “and tried to sing” a version of the piece, Make a Joyful Noise, a Coronation Anthem, to King Charles, but didn’t reveal his response.
Sir Bryn Terfel, 57, will be attending to sing a Welsh language song during the ceremony. The Welsh bass-baritone singer will perform alongside the Choir of Westminster Abbey, making history with the song Coronation Kyrie as the first performance in the Welsh language at a Coronation.
Paul Mealor, 47, is on the Coronation guest list after composing Coronation Kyrie. The famous Welsh composer has described the song as a “cry from the deep soul of the hills and valleys of Wales”. Other composers attending include Sarah Class, Judith Weir, CBE, Roderick Williams, OBE, and Debbie Wiseman, MBE, after being personally commissioned by the King to shape the musical programme for the service.
Dame Kelly Holmes, 53, who is honorary colonel of the Royal Armoured Corps Training Regiment, revealed she scored an invite to King Charles’s Coronation. The Olympic gold medallist told the Daily Mail in April that she is “hoping” to see the monarch’s son Prince Harry at the event.
Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden, 52, made the guest list after being confirmed as a coach on Sing for the King, a new BBC show celebrating King Charles’s Coronation. The programme will see singers of all ages from across the UK prepare to give a performance fit for royalty, for King Charles and Queen Camilla.
EastEnders actress and Strictly Come Dancing 2021 winner Rose Ayling-Ellis, 28, is also attending as a mentor on Sing for the King: The Search for a Coronation Choir. The star has been busy coaching an all-deaf sign performance group for the event.
Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse, 42, will be present at the Coronation after working with Rose Ayling-Ellis, Amanda Holden, and famous choirmaster Gareth Malone to prepare the choir for the service. The Sing for the King documentary about rehearsals will air on the BBC on May 5.
Absolutely Fabulous actress and passionate royalist Dame Joanna Lumley, 76, will be joining Sky News correspondents Alastair Bruce, Kay Burley and Anna Botting as a special guest on the broadcast, straight after attending King Charles’s Coronation service.
The Repair Shop presenter Jay Blades, 53, shared a photo of his invite to the Coronation on Twitter, before asking fans for their thoughts. Jay met and worked with King Charles on a special episode of the show, The Repair Shop: A Royal Visit, to mark the BBC’s centenary.

Peep Show actress Sophie Winkleman, 42, who is sister to Strictly host Claudia Winkleman, 51, is married to a paternal cousin of the late Queen Elizabeth II, Lord Frederick Windsor, and will therefore be front and centre at the Coronation with other extended members of the Royal Family. Sophie, who is officially known as Lady Frederick Windsor, has always spoken highly of her experiences as an actress marrying into the Royal Family, and previously said King Charles III would never stop her from playing a “racy” acting role.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2022 campmate and former rugby union player Mike Tindall, MBE, 44, will attend the Coronation on the arm of his wife Zara Tindall, 41, who is the daughter of Anne, Princess Royal, and Captain Mark Phillips.
First lady of the United States Jill Biden, 71, will represent the US at King Charles III’s Coronation. Her husband, President Joe Biden, 80, won’t be attending, as ever since the nation’s founding on its independence from the UK, no American president has ever attended a Royal Coronation in the country.
David, 47, and Victoria Beckham, 49, are rumoured to be on the guest list for the Coronation, as the famous couple have attended several royal events together in the past, including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s 2018 wedding. Former Manchester United player David was also seen emotionally waiting in line for hours to see Queen Elizabeth II’s Lying-in-State following her death last year.
Bear Grylls, 49, is also believed to have been invited to the Coronation, as the TV adventurer is launching the Big Help Out in partnership with several national charities, in tribute to the King’s dedication to public service. Brits will be getting an extra Bank Holiday day on Monday May 8, during which people are being encouraged to use the time by volunteering in their local community.
