Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo are teaming up for another movie and this one will be made with Disney!
The Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar co-stars will be writing an untitled live-action movie about Cinderella’s evil step-sisters, though they will not be playing the iconic characters.
Deadline reports that it’s still unknown if Kristen and Annie will appear in the movie, but if they do, they won’t play the step-sisters. The lead roles will go to younger actresses.
The movie will be “a fairy tale musical comedy that re-imagines the Cinderella classic from the point of view of her infamous evil stepsisters. Spanning their early childhood through the marriage of their universally beloved stepsister and beyond, we follow Anastasia and Drizella Tremaine as they struggle to uphold their family’s legacy.”
In addition to writing and starring in Barb and Star, Kristen and Annie were nominated for an Oscar for co-writing the Bridesmaids screenplay.
Kristen recently revealed the names of her twins, who were born last year.
