Leonardo sparked conversation across social media when he joined Paramount Pictures and Apple Studios in unveiling the first still from Martin Scorsese’s latest flick showing Leonardo DiCaprio and his co-star Lily Gladstone, 34.
Filming began April 19 in Oklahoma on the filmmaker’s big-screen adaptation of David Grann’s 2017 non-fiction book and it will continue for seven months.
Leonardo produces and stars as scheming rancher Ernest Burkhart, who weds a wealthy Osage oil heiress Mollie (Gladstone) in 1917 just before her closest family members mysteriously die.
In the image, Leonardo and Lily sit side-by-side, with the actor done-up to look weary and somewhat haggard – worlds away from his famous good looks.

There was divide on social media, with some fans alleging the actor looked unrecognisable in the still while others insisted he looked largely the same.
It was recently claimed that Camila had to adjust to a long distance relationship with Leonardo who was filming Don’t Look Up! in Boston with Jennifer Lawrence.
A source recently told OK!: ‘It’s well-known that when Leo gets into character, he’s so focused that he shuts out everything and everyone else.’
The insiders said that the distance is ‘grinding them down,’ adding that the couple ‘still talk all the time, but they’re getting more cranky and reckless with the things they say to each other.’

‘She’s young, sweet, simple and it’s easy because she gets along well with his family and he gets along great with hers too. They’ve known each other forever and it just works.’
