The TRIC Awards 2021 kicked off on Wednesday afternoon at 8 Northumberland Avenue in London – with Love Island’s Liberty Poole leading the glamour on the red carpet.

Liberty – who appeared in this summer’s series of the ITV2 show – still rocked a golden tan as she posed for snaps in a black lace strap-top and chocolate slacks.

She matched the look with a blazer, which she removed and slung over one shoulder for snaps.

Liberty wore amber-hued strap heels and accessorised with gold jewelry. She swept her golden locks back from her features and made a statement with bright red lipstick and a thick sweep of mascara on her lashes.

Liberty was among the early arrivals, along with Good Morning Britain co-anchors Kate Garraway and Susanna Reid who looked stunning in cocktail dresses for the event.

Kate – who can’t move for an awards ceremony at the moment,was recognised with a special award after continuing her tireless TV and radio work while her husband Derek Draper battled Covid-19. 

Kate, who also momentously scooped the National Television Award last week for her documentary Finding Derek, wore a flowing white wrap-top with delicate sleeves and silky flared trousers. 

Her GMB colleague Susanna wore a figure-hugging red dress with silver heels and wore her dark locks loosely around her shoulders.

The pair were reunited with Piers Morgan – who was previously their GMB co-host, before he left the series earlier this year over the coverage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s TV interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Piers threw his arms around the ladies, proving their are no hard feelings between the trio.

Getting in on the reunion was Ben Shephard, who also joined them on the red carpet.

Busy: Kate can’t move for an awards ceremony at the moment, momentously scooping the National Television Award last week for her documentary Finding Derek, about her husband’s battle with COVID-19

Good morning sunshine: Another GMB star, Charlotte Hawkins, was in attendance. She looked stunning in a multi-layered semi-sheer cream and pale blue dress with a tulle hem. She finished the look off with cream killer heels

Trio of lovelies: Janette Manrara wore a stunning ruby off-shoulder frock, while Jorgie Porter donned a tiny emerald mini-dress and Charlie Brooks went all-black at the event

Jorgie was in good company with her green look, with the likes of Fenella Woolgar and Sian Welby in similar tones. Fenella wore a figure-hugging dress with nude heels while Sian donned a satin mini-dress.

Bringing the hunky energy, Vernon Kay and Roman Kemp hit the red carpet – both suited up in dark blazers, slacks and shirts.

Vernon was accosted by fan-girls as he strolled into the London venue.

Fleur East wore an elaborate high-necked dress with a slanted hem and backless detailing. She posed for snaps with a suited and booted Chris Kamara.

Philip Schofield and Tony Blackburn shared a laugh en route into the venue, while Talulah Eve posed in plunging red pant suit.

Love Island star Demi Jones donned a glam black gown while Bake Off’s Ruby Bhogal went for navy and white with silver heels. 

Piers beat his former GMB co-host Susanna to scoop News Presenter Of The Year award at the ceremony.

Competition: Sian and Roman were up against Kate Garraway and The Jason Manford Show


Looking good: Jorgi later wrapped up in a beige coat and carried a matching bag while Fleur styled her locks into an updo for the evening

It seemed his dramatic departure didn’t stop him being honoured for his tireless presenting during the height of the coronavirus pandemic, beating out both Susanna and Huw Edwards to scoop the coveted prize.

GMB itself also scooped the prize for Multi-Channel News, while fellow ITV staples This Morning and I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here awarded prizes for Daytime and Reality respectively.

Meanwhile, Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp took home the Radio Programme award, beating out Kate Garraway on Smooth Radio and The Jason Manford programme.

Gogglebox took home the Entertainment show award where they were nominated alongside Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway and Bradley Walsh & Son: Breaking Dad.

The New Drama show category was unsurprisingly won by Netflix’s Bridgerton which beat out Des and Gangs of London.

Meanwhile, The Crown took home the gold in the Drama category where it faced competition from Killing Eve and The Crown.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! won the Reality award where it was up against fellow heavyweights The Masked Singer and Strictly Come Dancing.
