Lil' Kim dons two racy looks for the 2021 BET Awards

2021 BET Awards: Lil’ Kim proves she’s no wallflower as she turns heads in a racy black bodice dripping with jewels before changing into a risqué Prada crop top and matching mini-skirt

Lil’ Kim proved she was no wallflower when she stepped out for the BET Awards at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The 46-year-old rapper walked the red carpet in a racy black bodice and minuscule shorts, which she teamed with a black tuxedo jacket and copious amounts of bling.

Later taking to the stage, the Brooklyn-born artist changed into a risqué white Prada halterneck crop top with an eskimo-style hood and a matching mini-skirt.

The Lady Marmalade artist’s red carpet look also featured a layered Dolce & Gabanna statement necklace that comprised of various pearls, gold and silver detail.

She drew attention to her legs by wearing wrap-around gold stiletto heels with bling detail that went all the way up to the thigh.

The star, real name Kimberly Denise Jones, wore her lustrous blonde locks down and in structured waves, and her makeup included bold brows, winged eyeliner, bronzer on her cheekbones, false lashes, and a slick of nude colour on her plump pout.

While making her entrance, she told an interviewer that she would be receptive to appear on the show Verzuz, XXL Magazine reported, and that she hoped her rival would be Nicki Minaj.

On the way: In April, Lil’ Kim revealed that she’s penning a memoir to be released in early November

In April, she revealed that she’s penning a memoir with Kathy Iandoli through Hachette Books, to be released in early November.

‘I’m excited to finally get to tell my story after all this time,’ Lil’ Kim told People. ‘Many people have thought they knew the story of Lil’ Kim, but they have no idea.’

Hachette Books said in a news release that Lil’ Kim ‘not only blazed trails for women in hip-hop, but also inspired the careers of those who followed.

‘However, life at the top hasn’t been easy, either,’ the publisher said. ‘Lil’ Kim also talks about the hidden moments of her reign: her complicated high-profile relationships, the misogynistic industry she fought to change through sex positivity, the challenging double standards of self-image and beauty in the spotlight, and the momentous act of loyalty that ultimately landed her in prison.

‘A true page-turner from start to finish, The Queen Bee is every bit as fierce, empowering, and badass as the woman at the heart of this story — and firmly cements her legacy as a true feminist icon.’

Energetic: The hip-hop star put on an energetic performance, delighting the audience
