Love Island’s Ekin-Su ‘to sue Oh Polly after being dropped by fashion brand’

Not long after being crowned the winner ofLove Islandlast year, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu signed a £1million contract with online fashion retailer Oh Polly, with the contract being one of the biggest deals in the show’s history.

However, just six months into the contract, Ekin-Su, 28, was dropped by the brand, and is now set to sue the brand, according to reports.

An inside source told The Sun.: “Both the brand and Ekin have been left disappointed and there is now a dispute over money owed on the lucrative contract."

Ekin-Su closed the deal in August for a reported £1million, which became "the biggest clothing deal in Love Island history".

The reality star celebrated her deal with a massive party at London’s One Marylebone, and has so far released one 16-piece collection with the brand, which is now being sold off at reduced prices on the brand’s website.

Ekin-Su had originally been incredibly excited about making the move into the fashion industry, saying: "I want every woman, every age and every size to feel great. Not just model material, not just the young 20-year-old. When I was 23 I wore Oh Polly.

"I’m 28 and I’m still wearing Oh Polly. Hopefully when I’m 38, I’m still wearing Oh Polly.”

She had originally agreed to work with the brand because it aligned with her own sustainability values, with a source telling The Sun: “After speaking with all of the major fashion brands Ekin-Su wanted to work with a brand that aligned to her own values of sustainability and therefore decided against signing to a fast fashion brand.”

Although plenty of former Love Islanders go on to sign contracts with various fashion and beauty brands, Ekin-Su was thought to be one of the most in demand Islanders ever.

Not only did she sign the Oh Polly contract, but she also signed brand deals with B Perfect Cosmetics and Beauty Works, as well as appearing on this year’s series of Dancing on Ice.

The reality star had released her first collection with Oh Polly in October last year, but had been noticeably quiet about the brand collaboration since, with no posts affiliated with the brand being shared on her Instagram this year.

OK! approached both Oh Polly and Ekin-Su for comment.
