Madonna reveals she’s making new music as she shares snaps of herself in the studio and teases ‘surprises’ to come in the new year
She released her last album, Madame X, in June 2019.
And on Monday, Madonna revealed she’s back in the studio making new music and teased ‘surprises’ to come in the new year.
The megastar, 63, took to social media where she shared multiple photographs of herself working away with Swae Lee and Lauren D’Elia, amongst others.

Madonna was dressed in a light blue and white check picnic print shirt dress boasting lace-up side detailing.
She slipped into a black pair of fishnet tights and chunky black biker boots, while highlighting her waist with a corset style fishnet belt.
The mother-of-six styled her platinum hair extensions sleek and straight and accessorised with multiple gold bracelets and cross earrings.
Madonna wrote alongside: ‘So great to be back in the studio making Music again. Surprises in the New Year @swaelee @laurendelia @jozzy @burberry.’

Madonna toured throughout 2019 and 2020 as her Madame X alter ego, which was also the name of her last studio album.
The Madame X documentary, which chronicles her 75-date trek both on stage and in behind-the-scenes moments, was released in October.
Her personal videographer Ricardo Gomes followed the superstar during her Madame X Tour, to create the film.
It also includes the times when she battled through hip and knee injuries that ultimately forced her to cancel several shows in the US, UK and Portugal, according to MTV.

The tour would also ultimately be cut short by the then growing COVID-19 crisis that would be deemed a pandemic in mid-March 2020.
Madonna adopted David Banda, 15, Mercy James, 15, and twins Stella and Estere, eight, who were all born in Malawi, Africa.
The singer also has daughter Lourdes, 24, with ex Carlos Leon and son Rocco, 20, with ex-husband and director Guy Ritchie.
