Married At First Sight UK FIRST LOOK: Brides-to-be sob and would-be grooms rage as couples meet for the first time in EXPLOSIVE trailer
The upcoming season of Married At First Sight UK will kick off with a bang, as a first look trailer showed contestants causing chaos in the first episode.
In the preview footage, singletons rage and sob after walking down the aisle to marry a total stranger, with one bride brutally revealing: ‘I didn’t exactly get what I ordered’.
Following their risky nuptials, the 16 contestants are seen embarking on a joint honeymoon where the drama reaches boiling point and screaming matches ensue.

The men being matched up this year are electrician Adam, 26, business development worker Ant, 28, salesman Daniel, 27, business protection specialist Robert, 26, strength and conditioning coach Franky, 47, charity worker Matt, 39, personal trainer Jordon, 27, care home manager and a fireman, Luke, 36, and insurance worker Joshua, 26.
For the ladies, it’s wellness coach Megan, 36, sports journalist Amy, 34, personal trainer Marilyse, 36, saleswoman Nikita, 26, veterinary nurse Morag, 31, model Alexis, 28, and estate agent Tayah, 25.
In the trailer, bride-to-be Nikita warned ahead of her trip down the aisle: ‘I’ve been very specific, I’ve been very particular so if they get it wrong they need sacking.’
It then didn’t appear to be love at first sight for the saleswoman, who declared ‘God, this is a nightmare!’ following her nuptials.

Taking inspiration from the Australian format of the show, the couples will be brought together for group dinner parties, which also seem to be full of drama, as Alexis was seen fuming: ‘If this was on the outside world you’d be blocked and deleted.’
The sixteen singletons will be matched up with their partners for life by love gurus Melanie Schilling, Charlene Douglas, and Paul C. Brunson.
Married at First Sight Australia’s Mel and Paul take the reigns to match up the couples, while sex therapist Charlene helps the newly weds to get to know each other.

Channel 4 announced the full line-up on contestants on Monday, however it’s still unknown who’ll be coupled up with who.
The series has been revamped to follow the Australian format, and rather than legal marriages, the couples will make a lifelong commitment to one another at a glamorous ceremony, overseen by a wedding celebrant, that includes guests, bridal gowns, dancing, speeches and cake.
After the ceremony and celebrations are over, true love is well and truly put to the test, as they embark on a luxurious honeymoon, before moving in with each other and their fellow couples.
Uh oh: The group’s dinner parties appears just as rocky with tears, yelling and huge rows taking place abroad (pictured: Robert)
Too much to take: The drama is too much for many contestants who break down in tears while on camera (pictured: Toyah)
Relationships will be put under the microscope, by fellow brides and grooms at weekly dinner parties – as well as by the experts, at recurring commitment ceremonies, where couples choose whether they want to stay in or leave the process.
The series is also set to make history by including the first gay couple in the matchmaking.
Mel told the Metro of the couple: ‘You don’t always get it right and we’re not going to put a same-sex couple together just because they’re both gay, it’s got to be a good match and we don’t always find that.’

Paul added: ‘I think this could be one of the most diverse shows in the love genre that I’ve ever seen…
‘It’s a great reflection of what modern-day the world looks like. It’s very cool.’
While an official launch date is yet to be announced, Married At First Sight UK is coming to E4 very soon.
