Matthew Perry, 53, looked very healthy as he left his hotel early hours Monday for an interview on US news channel, Good Morning America.

The Friends star cut a dapper figure in a navy blue suit, paired with a blue round necked t-shirt as he waved to photographers.

Matthew held a coffee in one hand as he made his way to Good Morning America’s studios to promote his memoir, Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing.

In the memoir, the Chandler Bing star made several huge revelations about his battle with drug and alcohol addiction through the years, which event resulted in his heart stopping for five minutes.

The Hollywood star revealed that his longtime battle with addiction has seen him in therapy for 30 years, go to rehab 15 times, go to around 6,000 Alcohol Anonymous (AA) meetings, and survive 14 surgeries.

Matthew Perry stated that despite how his body looks covered in “plenty of scars” he is “very grateful” to be alive. He shared: “I look at them with gratitude, because it helped me stay alive. But I have to live my life 24/7 with all of this scar tissue I’m constantly aware of. It feels like I’m doing a sit-up at full stretch all the time.”
